HPS stays a difficult metric. You heal to keep your group alive so that means you heal when the most damage is done. When it comes to bursting most damage is often done when the pack dies and you get out of combat (and it is not measured by the meter) But yes, hitting the 80k+ mark this week is not strange.
When it is about highest number you need a pack that you can kill fast but still stay in combat for a couple of seconds. Short pull with a lot to heal, and also lot to heal from bursting, like the atal saurids with the screamer
But when you know something like this will happen, I hope players use personal defensives too. I also plan my aura mastery on 2 saurid pulls (which is not shown on the hps meters).
Healing isn’t about who does the most HPS if your group is alive at the end of the encounter.
Also HPS this expansion is all about timing your healing cooldowns correctly, your other healing spells are not that important to do good HPS. As a Holy Priest it’s literally enough that you pop Divine Hymn in the start, Salvation in the middle and then Hymn again at the end to get purple logs.
Yes easily. Ive pulled over 150k on raging tentacles in shrine. Popping cd’s in a short window of high damage like bursting isnt hard, complex or noteworthy.
Like others said, hps is meaningless with no context. Healing something like tyrannical griev galvazz on 15+ is a far sterner healing test.
Grats on big numbers but i dont think your numbers are anything others dont roitinely do - tho not on 10’s - you covered bad dps and thats always a nice feeling
