I’ve played beyond what most posters here on the forum have. I was licking at 28 keys at my highest in the old system.
I don’t even bother nowadays because of how bad holy priest is, it has been good 2 seasons for all of M+ and then it got gutted. You put in more effort and get less results than if you’d play disc. It’s ridiculous. The spec is pretty much dead to me and it’s not fun seeing it in the gutter every season. I might just quit the game over them neglecting holy constantly instead of fixing it.
I shouldn’t have a far easier time playing a spec I barely play in the first place, disc just beats holy that much and it needs fixing.
We need our heals outside of the holy words to actually heal for considerable amounts.
Renew? Joke of an ability. It needs a buff closer to 1000% to be worth pressing.
PoH? Joke as well, it’s not gonna do anything against the damage we’re seeing.
Sanctify is useless, it heals for nothing and we have no way to actually replenish it. PoH would be the way to replenish it but PoH isn’t worth picking up because it sucks that bad.
Flash heal barely heals for anything.
In DF I played up to +25 and then I had to bail from playing holy priest because it was just more effective to have another guy do the healing because his spec was better and I went shadow instead.
Early season 1 I wasn’t getting any invites to keys even though I was more than capable of doing them. Why? Shamans.
The Legion rework and now the 11.1 rework has damaged the spec so bad that it needs a complete overhaul. They need to move away from the holy word system if they’re gonna keep designing dungeons the way they are.
Sure, top 20 healer at the time was “being dragged” through all those healing checks.

They’re getting dragged through it.
People said the same thing in s1 but the holy priests in question were getting a ton of external help to make it possible to get them through. Any spec would get through it with that much help, doesn’t mean the spec is fine. Literally had to have an evoker yanking them around to combat the issue with lack of mobility that holy priests have.

You don’t have the capacity to articulate a basic issue if the word used to get the nr1 ranking for a key is “dragging them through it”. I agree we’re done. Come back when you learn what words mean.

holy priest are FINE ish. they suffer mainly from disc being the go to op spec on same class.

I play my HPriest in M+ with Oracle hero tree. You can pull out some very decent HPS numbers with a little bit of setup and the Dps isn’t bad either if you get the opportunity for it. Disc is just too far ahead atm. But it will get nerfs for sure just a matter of time.

Yes? They’d be far better off without the holy priest. You have to cater insanely with a holy priest in the party to make it work as you go higher.
Like, have you watched holy priests playing in higher keys? Any healer spec that’s getting that much help would pull through. But not all specs need as much help as a holy priest.

If they were not any good they would not be there you need to use logic, no team is going to try and push with some spec that is so called “bad” .
Are you Dejarous on an alt? Because you’re failing to understand the issue just the same as him. They’re being catered to at an insane degree when playing holy priest in higher keys, without that they’d fall short. Other healers don’t need anywhere close to the same amount of being catered to. Hence, they’re being dragged through. Without that insane catering, they wouldn’t pull through like other healers.

I don’t need to see that person specifically playing. I know they’re being catered to because I’ve watched other holy priests in higher keys. It’s a ridiculous amount of catering that needs to be done to make a holy priest work.
