One thing they all share is pressure to perform, timers are quite stressful. The gogogo mentality of M+ is quite stressful.
Raiding is slightly less rushed but has its own pressures to perform within criteria.
There are a lot of reasons why players don’t / can’t play in stressful situations. Hand-Eye co-ordination, Mental Health / Well Being or a bunch of other reasons that they don’t need to explain to you or to anyone.
There is no need to criticise other for their gaming choices. They’re free to make those choices as are you.
Yeah… but if your only alternatives are M+ and raiding, you don’t really have many avenues to gear up besides doing that.
Which is why visions were fun until you were done with them, at which point you still kinda had to do them.
It would ofc fit in a lot better now when you do have a lot more options, and you do actually have the option to just ignore them when you feel like you’ve “completed” them.
Still i prefer having hard- solo content as for personal choice . But until now nothing has been done with the solo content because there is always the uproar from M+/raider and of course the casuals that dislike hard content.
And it is possible to add challenge (even timers) to content but do so at higher levels or for achievement.
Delves could have timers at Tier 10 or whatever. Or there could be achievements for complete a Delve in 5 minutes for Gold or 8 minutes for Silver.
The problem when they added timers to Torghast it was to every level of it.
So when they added the timers I did a Torghast, it laughed at me and I didn’t go back. And this won’t have been a high level torghast as I didn’t progress that far anyhow.
I did as well, it was their best incarnation of solo challenge content, with maybe the exception of the Brawler’s Guild, but even that has a social aspect to it.
It’s exactly that. I have trouble with any sort of content that has a timer because I panic as I watch it go down and start doing stupid things which mean I take even longer … it’s horrible.
Tell us what the shamans are.
While opening a topic, let’s pay attention to whether it concerns the shaman and the rejection paladin.
For others, the music stopped.
I thought visions were a lot of fun, and this seems to be a pretty clear response to players wanting access to higher level solo challenges and myth gear from solo content.
Maybe it’s time you took a look at your mental state over the game having timers. Even if the timer runs out, you aren’t going to die as a result. At the most extreme your reward may be slightly worse.
I’ve seen so many people here go to pieces over timers or difficulty and they don’t even engage with hard content or need the best gear. I don’t get it
