As someone who does have the Mirror Network unlocked I thought I’d jump in and say that there aint any rare that drops any piece of cosmetics from that particular sanctum upgrade.
You may be thinking of the Anima Conductor instead.
Just make sure you build the correct one when you do get your 15k anima.
You can easly get 15k anima. Just do all the quests, every day for a few weeks. There are quests like the arena calls that give 250. Just do every one of them. I spent more anima on convent gear. I have been getting 5k anima per week and I am not focused on farming it.
It’s very frustrating and doing all anima containing WQs everyday is a sure fire way to burn out. Apparently it is meant to be this way, so people have to work towards it… annoying but there we go.
I tend to only do WQs offering 3-4 anima tokens, 250 ones and the mission table. If you like dungeons there are also two weeklies from Oribos that give a fair bit for completing 2 specific dungeons of any difficulty.
Essentially I only bother on my main, who at this point I only play for unlocking the transmog. Everything else costs too much anima and just isn’t fun.
It’s clear they want it to be a slow long grind. If you’re not happy with that walk away for now and accept the reward isn’t worth the time and effort.
People actually justify the long grind for this anima? lol
Takes weeks and weeks of grinding just to get a single cosmetic?
Does Blizzard actually think that people will grind it in the next expansion?
I read somewhere that it’ll take 632,500 anima to get all cosmetics + upgrades for each covenant.
If people are saying they can get like 5k a week.
That’s 126 weeks of farming, obviously can be reduced with alts… but the point stands.
If 4 alts on each covenant = 31 weeks of farming non stop anima at 5k a week.
Not justifying it at all, just stating what has been said by Ion. In fact I remember him saying that if we said it was taking too long then they’d change it - to which I laughed because we already are!
So do a few table missions. Anima missions usually yield twice the anima they cost, and takes like a minute at most to send your troops out. Whenever you’re near your sanctum, check if there are anima missions, if so, send a follower + troops. Done. That alone will net you the weekly 1k. (I know, I have 8 alts doing nothing but anima and gold missions on the table, they cap 1k each week.)
There are no news about sanctum upgrades coming in 9.1, so chances are, we won’t see much during the rest of the expansion. Thus, we have all the time in the world to unlock all the cosmetic rewards. And 9.1 (or perhaps even 9.0.5? I don’t remember) brings a few more ways to gain anima too.
Don’t rush, take it slow, it’s better for your mental health.
I have finished the weekly 1000 anima yesterday just by doing the worldboss, a couple of M+ including by accident 1 of the weekly dungeons NW, like 3 WQ’s and opening my mission board that had 2 anima quests finished
Clearing LFR and Normal raid is already good enough for over 2k anime a week. Then if you’d do all the 105 and 140 anime quests, you’d easily get another 300~500 a day (<5 WQ quests). There are 3 quests per week (if I remember correctly) that give 250 anime, 1 boss and 2 elites with callings. Then any M+ you do, the higher the better, will grand you even more anime. Then there are weekly quests: 2x 175 from the dungeon quests (can be done on normal), and PvP that usually gives you 250~750. Ebgs, bgs and arenas first win of the day also gets you a bunch of anime. Rated matches give even more I think. I don’t like farming anime at all and my warrior (60 for 5 or 6 weeks now, a bit behind everyone else), has R3 transport and R2 anime conductor. Currently saving up for R3 though my mission table is taking up a lot right now
Yeah, since they increased anima rate, LFR is actually a not bad source for anima. Yeah, I get it’s LFR but the OP has moaned about how they can’t do anything else so…there’s an answer.
You can at least get 1k per week - there’s a Renown quest tied to it. Blizzard aren’t going to change it overnight so may as well put some effort in or give up altogether - that’s the choices we have at the moment.
We have at least a year and a half, potentially 2 more years of Shadowlands.
Of course we’re not supposed to get the shiniest shiny thing within a few weeks. The shiniest shiny things are for people who’re going to play this game for the long haul.
Although actually. It’s very easy to pull in 1500-2000 anima per week without trying. If you don’t splurge it on missions, you can get 15k in 10 weeks of ‘just playing the game’.
Just play, and wait. These things will all come to you before 10.0 hits.
The shiniest of shiny things is a slight recolour of a set we get for free?
A good portion of it is time gated behind renown just to cost an amount of anima you realistically won’t have.
Also your proposed solution is to not use your currency on other aspects. 10k if you don’t play the mission table or spend it on gear upgrades, upgrading your Covenant, other gear tmog, mounts, etc.
For one character to collect everything is an unfun and daunting process.
I for one was hoping for more rewards and more tmog to come in future patches. This basically settles that, no we’re getting nothing new because we still can’t afford what we were given in 9.0
Yeah I never understood this. Exact same item but a specific color taker ages to get, or requires a different difficulty… 1 color isn’t worth more than another, yet blizzard artificially does this. So many times when I want to make a nice mog, I’m shafted because either 1 specific color is not available, or requires a more difficult set of content I don’t have access to (yet).
For my Off Spec. I am currently grinding for getting the red and yellow Venthyr Plate Mog Set. And i was several weeks ago in a similar situation like you OP. Now i am only missing 7k more Anima til i have enough to buy all the pieces (21k Anima in total). But every single week i did WQs or similiar in time frames where there is usually almost FA around on my server. Even for CRZ bs players. And doing it in those times, it has being so much faster get all of that.
Then again i’ve also from helping others from my own specific efforts. Gotten a few others over time to help me with it too. So that has further more cut down time to get all that anima. From various sources.
My best advise is to not grind when there is trillions of players around you to compete against for these things and wait til there is barely any. This saves so much time like you can’t even imagine.
The OP obviously considers something so shiny that they’re desperate to have it right now.
I personally don’t really care for any of it
A choice! A mutually exclusive choice at that. This is pretty common in games
You can run only the anima gathering missions for a net profit. You can quickly outpace covenant gear upgrades by doing low M+ and unrated PvP. You don’t need a max level transport network, and you genuinely don’t need mission table upgrades.
Make decisions about what you want most with the resources available. Other stuff will still happen - later. Expect 2 more years.
Only if you’re playing with the goal of collect the things as fast as possible.
If you just… hate to say it again… play the game, normally, naturally, without any special effort; you’ll get the things later anyway.
You can put in extra effort to accelerate the process, but you don’t have to.
Or they’re just more mutually exclusive choices. Multiple good options; but you can’t pick all of them. The more you play, the more you can have, but never all, so start prioritising. It’s kind of a life skill
Personally I find that more interesting than “run on this treadmill for 4 hours every day just to avoid falling off”. I can at least decide not to and I won’t lose my raid spot because of it.
Oh, I hate it too. The endless recolours that never match the palette of anything else.
Really wish they’d just pick 1 shade of gold, bronze, silver, red, green, blue, etc, and base gear on those so that we can mix and match better.
