How do YOU prepare for Shadowlands?

not much really. it feels pointless to farm gear now. ill just see the content i missed.

Otherwise there is not much hype from my side. its just another expansion. No need to hype about it. the trailer for bfa looked good, but the expansion was nothing like the fullout faction war shown there

  • Cleaned up bank and bags.
  • Cleaned up addons and UI.
  • Completed everything I really wanted to do before the end of BFA already.
  • Took a couple days off from launch date.
  • Will read some leveling articles to get a rough idea of what to do. I’m not a powerleveler so I plan to take my time, but I still like to have a rough plan to be reasonably efficient.
  • Will read about Covenants balance so that I’ll be ready when the time to make the choice arrives.
  • Will play only about 1 hour at most at launch time: after a good night of rest will play the next day fully.

None lol.

Will enjoy the story explore the zone then will start gearing up a bit.

Never understood ppl who take a day off so they can play a video game lol seems kinda sad. Given the fact that since the expansion is launching in Q4 you’d have plenty of time to gear up b4 the next big patch hits live, besides when the first raid releases nobody will care that much about having THE BEST gear as ppl would want to just clear the pug with as many ppl as they can so yeah.

Yeah totally! Never understood people who take days off to go on vacation lol so sad… why would anyone take days off to do anything they enjoy right.

My cousin once went to the great wall of China and I was like lol so sad, you can order chinese food and watch it on google maps dude.

There is a massive difference between going to another country and experiencing a new culture that will always be with you alongside photos and sheltering up at home to play a video game.

If launch falls within the vacation period then it’s one thing but if a person calls in SICK just to play the game for two extra days then yeah it’s kinda sad.

I don’t think that would end well for me.

Why start now?

Got AOTC + mail muncher sorted, plus I’ve completed the transmog sets I wanted going into Shadowlands as well as finished the Balance of Power artifact questline… again… for my alts.

I’m pretty much ready to rumble.

more launch prep entirely depends on whether i get a new job in the next month or not.

If I dont i can no life shadowlands on release

I wont prep in any special way. I will still have work to go to and kids that needs attention, so will just play in the evenings when i can. I have no rush.

Get more gear then gank in sl

Why would I need to prepare?

Probably just get some snacks and some beer and play for a few hours if the launch is smooth.

Prepare for what? Play the game as usual, hit 60, do the quests that are max level when all the hardcore people are sleeping for 2 days cause they stayed up for 72 hours.

Sure MrChad, the world is puny and you’re the best.

I’m sleeping from 11 PM - 8 AM…
…oh wait.

Finally caved and got myself an SSD for SL, the difference already is unreal.

Other than that, yes plenty of snacks and drinks (tea or water ofc…maybe a few coke zero’s too lol) and try to clear the schedule as much as I can, within reason.

I’ll probably go back and watch the cinematics in order, and maybe the animated shorts too. It’s a mini ritual of mine you could say.

Probably change my desktop background soon too, atm it’s the updated Cosmology Chart. Have my eye on a bolvar background for SL.

I see the hype is real but it is no competition. I don’t prepare for it and won’t take part in it so makes things easier at all.

Taking fue days of on release, then calling in sick next week. Delivery is my main way of survival.

I’m just going to do like I always do, drink an unhealthy amount of cola and eat too many snacks and forget to eat actual food for days. At least I’ve gotten better now and don’t forget to drink for a few days in a row. And no, I don’t know how I am still alive.
