The thing with Method and many others guilds is that when they do their boost etc.(They do anything a professional do )
1st they Ask the customer for an Id invitation for not having a problem with transaction.
2nd they confirm that they are the respective party Login and creating a 3ppl party with some Main character from the respective party.
3rd Before even paying they already assign the date-viability and everything for the customer since they have fixed raid time.
Nowadays people sems to loose the ability to have common sense of danger-scam or even simple interaction-Socialize skillā¦
As someone who raided HC for a long time and has earned the Black/ Plagues Proto-drake, i get that mentality. But by that logic, you could also say that world first guilds are also buying world first by having their chars boosted for gear and buying BoEs for millions?
Would i rather raid mythic like i used to? Yes, i would. But i earned my gold fair and square and it sucks when you get scammed through a tool that Blizzard provided, then decided to play dumb.
We all know what services channel is for and so does Blizzard, but they choose to ignore it. They can stop it but they chose not to. Because in the end, they get money, scammers get money and itās the players who get shafted.
The point is, they could refund the gold, but they wonāt because itās not in their financial interest.

Gold will be taken away from that acount and probably person will get suspended/ banned depends on record of account. But you will not be able to get your gold back.
How exactly did i ānot play the gameā? I earned my gold in game.
Because if you raided and do m+ or any other activity you would maybe get that mount no needed to play boost and would spent that 2 milion on flasks, pots.
Yes you got 2 milions bascially for payng sub 13e so u can collect herbs and spend that gold on buyng boost to get mount. That is your timeline of playng a game. But something tells me you did not collect just herbs to have that gold since no person that never buy gold from web will never know how much 2m gold cost in euros lol

No you could not. The reason they buy that gear is to meet the gear check as early as possible, not to overgear the raid. They then still have to figure out for themselves how to kill those bosses and be the first to do it. Hell, most guilds who clear mythic do it with better gear than the WF guilds had when they first cleared it.
Given that youād even try to make that point combined with the fact you thought you could get a mythic fyrakk kill AND mount for 2 million shows that you lack the critical thinking skills required to not get scammed.

I always understood thatās what they did - removed it from the scammer but didnāt give it back to the scammed person. Thereās probably some reason why they took that stance, but donāt know what it is. I also agree the scammer should be banned but thatās not Blizzardās policy so far as I know.

I think he will prob get banned if more people report him. Maybe they dont have option to give back gold to person and track by system how much was gold but they do have option to restore gold if account was deleted or characer.
I mean this is why you never use services channel, if you really want a boost then join one of the community discords, atleast its moderated and usually give gold back and ban the people who scam others.

If I were to hazard guess Iād say either because they want to discourage money boosting but then it doesnāt make sense why they not just make it against the rules all together.
Or most likely reason to just save on mod time and avoid grey areas where they might make mistakes. Imagine accidentally taking money from the victim and giving it to the scammer.
Easier and cheaper to just cover all trades with the āno refunds under any circumstances everā umbrella.

My biggest frustration in this whole crappy situation is how Blizzard is trying to wash their hands clean. They created the Boosting, ahem, Services channel. They know what is advertised there. They know people get scammed.
But they donāt care and stay in the grey area cause that makes them more money than banning boosting. As long as the money flows in their pockets and itās not real-money transactions they donāt get a cut of, theyāre fine with it.
Was i dumb in this situation? Apparently i was a complete moron. But they can easily track this. They have the logs, they have screenshots that match their logs. They have data on everything we say and do in game.
They just donāt care because the money they will lose from people quitting the game cause of being scammed is nothing compared to how much money they get from WoW Token and scammer/booster accounts.

First off yes they created this channel to advertise boosts wich arent illegal if the advertiser is in the raid. Secondly if he asked the full price to be traded before the kill u should know it was a scam. So no it isnt blizzards fault but ur own m.
I believe every rule goes though the lawyerās department. It doesnāt matter if it makes āsenseā or not. As long as its juristically correct. And while I am aware that we are talking about a video gameā¦lets not forget that in Amurica there is a reason why coffee mugs have āCaution, Hot!ā written on them.

If you rephrase āboostingā to ātrading someone gold in exchange for somethingā, itās easier to see why just the notion of banning boosting is ridiculous, and why it didnāt work out the first time.
Again, it sucks and Iām sorry it happened to you but if the Blizz police stepped in everytime someone was a moron (your word) then morons would carry on being morons because there were no consequences.
Blizz would then have to pay a bunch of people to fix the consequences because players would keep burning themselves on the hotplate that they burned themselves on yesterday and the day before.
I donāt think they ādonāt careā - thats an oversimplification. But its definitely a numbers game and theyāve taken away the agency from people that fix tickets to do anything about this. Iād wager a decade ago youād get sympathy and someone would run this to ground. Now the departments are gutted and they wouldnāt even have the access or permission even if they had the inclination.

If someone tells u to jump from cliff would u do it? Blizzard cant be responsible for your actions. Scammin is as ganking experience of this game. how was existing back in classic , is existing now. That is why they often say people or even put on loading screen tips what not to do as one of them dont share your passord or to trust people with who you doing trade :V Or dont stand in fire and ppl still do it lol
They did not created boosting people did and they know would never managed to stop it, would just kill a game because there will always be people like you who dont want to play game but want achivments, gear and mounts. All what they did is make channel for it so we dont need have spam train in general chat.
I guess you need to distort reality to prove you point, whatever that is. Yes, i screwed up, i even said it in the opening post. But the point remains - Blizzard is enabling this. I didnāt get scammed on some shady website and paid them with cash.
This was advertised in a channel created by Blizzard. They have all the data they need to fix this. Thatās the point.
What kind of āserviceā did they create this channel for? With AH and Work Orders, what is the purpose of the Trade channel? When was the last time you saw someone spamming trade with āWTS THIS BLUE BOE MACEā?
Blizzard just prefers not to do anything cause they can play dead when something like this happens, but continue taking money from scammers, boosters and players.
And to respond to your analogy, if someone puts a sign that says āsafe crossing aheadā but that bridge is built by some third party dude and you fall to your death, they canāt just say āoh, we didnāt build that bridge, weāll make sure that contractor never works for us, sorry for your lossā

Where they stated boosting is safe? No matter is it boost or trade for something else for selling item etc it was never safe and much often was saidā¦ To make sure u know person or trust for safe trade.
People made boosting, carries, gdkps etc not blizzard and now game is not functional without it. Why? Because people cba to play content they want to buy that mount and afk in valdraken as peacoock again doing nothing 
I would like to hear from Blizzard why they cant return gold so we have on clear. But I bet is because system options by mods. Not because some wild theories lol
