How long are servers down at 3 am?

Joking about being physiologically dependent on a game.

As said above thats kinda unacceptable for a paid game. while no refund/reward is issued.
There is nothing to joke about.

haha funny you would say that! i dont see it on my launcher as in the picture above…

You do not see it cause you have your launcher language set to US … set it to UK! :stuck_out_tongue:

there ya go! haha

Does anywone know why they do maintenance ? i dont see patch note with it

Its in the terms of service, completely acceptable legally. Its also within unsocialable hours ( Unsociable hours generally refer to those outside of typical working hours of a 9-5 weekday pattern.) and not a peak time for server load. Blizzard have been completely reasonable with the maintenance time and period. Blizzard do many things wrong but this isn’t one of those times.

I would like a link to that please. i just read EULA and TOS i didnt see that.

They could have tested the game and classes befoer they released the game

They had alpha and beta tests. Wow is a big game, the bugs are endless.

servers are up !

Contact support and they will give you the links you want.

You are claiming its in the ToS allthough i dont seem to find it, maybe i missed it. Thats why i asked for a link, i wont contact support because you are spreading missinformation you cant backup.

Wednesday used to be my only day off when vanilla was out and I would chill on wow but there was times when maintenance took much longer than they said so didn’t get to play that week , they did very occasionally give a day or two compensation If I remember, doubt they do that now? The money dudes wouldn’t allow it.

Yes you remember corectly 1 day refund most of the time. On rare occasions there was 3 day refund.

Cant remember when was the last time they did it though. Back in the day you could see it in your transactions or something but now i cant seem to find it.

I’m glad someone discovered this is what is causing people not to see the messages on the launcher. It has been odd that some never get them and never know when stuff is planned or issues arise.

I mean two seconds.

Sorry my message wasnt clear. Im not referring to “Its in the terms of service, completely acceptable legally”

Im referring to “Its also within unsocialable hours ( Unsociable hours generally refer to those outside of typical working hours of a 9-5 weekday pattern.) and not a peak time for server load.”

ToS pretty much says they can do anything they want at any time without notice. Thats totally different from what you said.

Appart from all the above,Im sorry if my messages look/sound offensive, english is not my mother language. You simply tried to help.

Under the law of contracts Blizzard are being resonable by picking a time with low level of usage and thus affecting as few players as possible. Also the length of time is very short, the servers are not down for days. This would mean that blizzard was seeking to impact you as little as possible and uphold the contract to provide you with a service. Also blizzard did endeavor to use reasonable commercial efforts to provide you prior notice.

The law around contracts is what you dont understand. If the game was down for a week or more than you can argue that blizzard was unreasonably reducing service. Basically under the law you normally can’t charge for a service you aren’t providing.

Having a short period for maintaince and providing prior notice doesn’t affect your rights to any service you are paying for form blizzard. This would legally be seen as reasonable for maintaining the service and thus there is no right to compensation.
