Like, who hurt that person…

My super mrgl fish one shots all.
Mrgl brgl.
Well when you’re practically flooded by all the Orgrimmar RP, you have to set standards to filter out the dregs.

I am using thas’dorah’s base skin on Cro (will use the upgraded one when I finally do my archeology)
My main druid uses the resto weapon.
Mag’har priest is using the pvp version of T’uure.
And many other characters use some form of the artifact skins. Don’t really treat it as special, just got mogged what would be appropriate (and a voided naaru on a stick is very appropriate for a shadowmoon priest)
If you think on it we play a High Fantasy setting and game. You have every opportunity if you wish to use a special item of sorts.
It depends on it’s application, usage and who / what you’re interacting said item with.
For example, almost every Human Lord has a “special” weapon that’s named and may have some kind of power weight to it.
Think about power growth / use / creep. Are you going to use your special weapon against a common bandit with a dagger? Or is it for a bigger tougher foe like a Abomination?
For replicas / skins I think it’s fair game so long as you’re not trying to use a “in-lore” known weapon as fellow Dekarn says:
Hope my input helps as well.
In my opinion? Anything that has significant lore reasons to exist is off-limits, I do remember this one time I managed to convince my fellow undead roleplayers that I had a cursed sword from Caer Darrow, claiming it was Alexei Barov’s old sword which he acquired by buying it from one of the adventurers who helped slay him.
It had a random on-effect curse that would cause severe weakening(curse of weakness), when held it would give symptoms related to severe dehydration, which would eventually lead to death when a living being held the blade for too long, but in a undead’s hands, its pretty much just a cool-glowing sword that could occasionally curse someone, by rolling a 1 on a d20.
It’s so much cooler to use the appearance of something flashy and neat and make your own special weapon/item/tool lore for it. It encourages some nice deep folds to form within your grey matter.
