I already pull reasonably big. I know what I can handle and I very rarely need any healing or die.
I think, if I was to tank more slowly and cautiously, then you would be right. I would get sub-optimal commentary about my performance.

I had a solution back then but my sub was gone so my reaction didnt get added.
But my idea was that you are able to join as a healer and that you can set a loot option for warband. Example. Normally you can join lfr as holy priest, dicipline or shadow. But then you should be able to set the loot not for priest loot but for rogue or something else. So if a priest item drops you cant roll. Because you joined for rogue loot. This way more healers can join while gearing alt characters who have a longer queue time. Same can be done for tanks. Also they can choose that if you join as healer for rogue loot that its only personal loot and warband bound. Like tww pre event loot that could be put in warband bank. And the weekly raid lockout should be put on the selected character.
Remove route requirements from dungeons and everybody is tanking after that.
You can just press W in most dungeons up to and probably above +10.
Can confirm, did all 13s on my war (and 2 other tanks +12s), and just going straight works. I do not think I used a specific route for anything. It kind of worked out due to repetition/memory.
Pretty sure he means something like Floodgate.
The dungeon is much, much more enjoyable if you have a tank who actually knows the route.
I’m tanking regardless, and has been for years, but still. THIS!
There is a difference between knowing the dungeon and knowing a route.
By knowing the dungeon you can press w on a general path with a good idea of the mobs you will pull, and at the end pull what you need in order to complete the %.
By knowing a route it means to know every single mob you will pull and skip, so that you have no unknown factors by the end of the dungeon.
I have always been doing the first, no fish skip, multiple times backtracking to pull the 2 casters after the bridge, etc. You do not need to do the 2nd one until like 14-16s.
Ye? And that’s the whole point.
It’s not even about that. I’ve seen how some NA players (high rio players btw) pull there and it’s so annoying and much more risky for no reason…
For example: They run around the pat on the right side instead of going left for the first pull, this adds the pat 9/10 and ends up in a mess.
And there is so much more that I can barely put in words…
While I am a fan of choice of freedom in such scenarios, Floodgate shows how insanely annoying you can make a dungeon when the tank is inexperienced about the route.
I-… w-… why’d you have to hurt me like that, fellow Brewmaster? I just wanted to read!
Also steals and huffs your copium for my BrM main
brews a new batch of copium tea
Care to try my new blend, dear fellow brewster?
sips and silently sobs internally
It comes from within. I am a colossal noob and I have 3k. This is my main.
I just love turning into a bear and fighting.
If people make fun of me for being bad that doesn’t bother me at all. I’m just like this.
Most people I meet in PUGS are very nice.
I mean, it worked for Overwatch 1… Sure, not the same genre, but still. Done right it can work.
