Hunter Bows

its called magic, Kevin!

I deleted my hunter because I hated strings~ you saying that new bows dont have it? Anyone know if Artifact have strings?

Maybe it will be worth to try again~
I always wanted magical bow without strings.

Real bows require immense strenght~ meaning that its not a weapon for elves nor females. Welcome into fantasy world where reality does not matter.

Artifact gets it.

Cool people use guns anyway. Or failing that, crossbows.

The first transmog I ever made was that bow. I use bows generally, rarely crossbow. Guns are much too loud for me. Same goes for cat pets, I love cats but can’t put of with the constant weird unlike cat-noises they make.

I think weapon choice for hunters are somewhat thematic. I have a BE hunter exclusively for using the Skyfire, as it’s just that awesome. I wouldn’t put a gun on a BE though, I’ve got my dwarf, goblin and mechagnome for that. If I didn’t have too many hunters as it is, I’d probably have a Forsaken with a crossbow.

Oh and the guns now all sound like air rifles or pellet guns, been that way for a long time  Had to stop playing my dwarf and goblin. Then someone uploaded the original sounds so they could be copy-pasted over. That stopped working in Legion, so now you need a mod for it, urgh.

Oh, you can mod the sound files? I’d like silent cats and the Vanilla bow string sound!

You’re right about what fits the races, and the Skyfire is the perfect choice of a BE. It also looks like it actually could shoot. I tend to be more freestyling in my mogs, like the tribal skull and bones one I had before and now red hot dress.

My current crossbow has a sad story to it. A boy with fatal cancer was invited to Blizzard and designed it. He also voiced a tauren starting area quest, the one with the lost dog. From a time when Blizzard had a heart. These things don’t happen anymore, instead they’re selling charity pets and keeping part of the money.

I’m aware of the phoenix crossbow, yes. Haven’t gotten it myself yet since I don’t really have any crossbow characters (if only rogues could still fire them, ah well) and it costs Honour tokens iirc, which I spend on armour sets on the rare occasions I’ve collected some. It’s actually one of the best-looking crossbows out there though, so it’s on my list.

As for the charity pet thing, Blizzard isn’t really that unique there and it’s better than nothing. Plenty of rich people and organizations that donate purely for the fact that doing so gives tax cuts.

I’m cool with both charity pet and tax reduction, but it’s chockingly greedy to not donate all of the income.
