I have a bug in classic wow with my hunter where I completed my lvl 10 pet quest, yet my pet doesn’t have access to “growl” in any way shape or form (before rank 3 on the pet trainer), does not have access to any abilities other than the one it came with (bear, claw rank 2), and even when I tamed another beast (spider) with Bite rank 2 (which was the only thing showing up on ITS spellbook), and used it until I got a yellow text that I’ve “learned Bite Rank 2”, I still couldn’t teach that ability to my bear. Also, I couldn’t even rename my pet until today for some reason. This all is making playing my hunter very difficult since my pet is extremely gimped and doesn’t have growl…

Is anyone else having this issue?

I’ve contacted blizzard’s support chat and the advice I got is, and I’m not kidding, delete your character and open a new one… After I protested the support person suggested maybe to delete addons (which I did, made no difference). His alternative was that I report a bug (which I did) and pray, and maybe follow up on the issues on the forums… He even refused to reset my lvl 10 hunter quest (even though they deal with quests) because he isn’t authorized to do so by the developers. So now I have a semi-useless character due to a simple quest bug and the only solution blizzard offered me is either delete your character or report a bug, check the forums and maybe someday it will be resolved. (I took screen shots of the chat just in case).
Am I the only one finding this unacceptable? It’s extremely disrespectful to tell people to delete their character right off the bat over what seems to be minor technical issues. People invest time in their characters, ESPECIALLY in Classic Wow…
