@Frozencc, any suggestions for how to keep the focus on the hunter whilst also embody the “beast master” spec? I would like to avoid going full demonology on the spec

I have a suggestion to double down on the Mongoose Fury window and add some kinda interactions like

  • Poisoned Fury: Mongoose Fury now also increases the damage of your serpent sting and all poisons by 15%, stacking up to 5 times.
  • Bleeding Fury: Mongoose Fury now also increases the damage of all bleeding effects by 15%, stacking up to 5 times.

Also, here is some kinda interaction for Flanking strike:

  • Brutal Bite: Mongoose Bite has a 10% chance to reset the cooldown of Flanking Strike.
  • Rampage: Using Flanking Strike increases your pet’s damage by 10% for 10 seconds. Using Mongoose Bite increases your pet’s damage by 10% for 10 seconds. Stacks up to 5 times.
    Savage Strike: Using Mongoose Bite increases the damage of your next Flanking Strike by 10% for 6 seconds. Stacks up to 5 times.

The direction of bombs builds, and some new abilities and talents go with it.

“Explosive Cartridge” 40 Focus 40 yd range Instant 18 sec cooldown Requires Hunter Requires level 30

Launches a magical cartridge at an enemy, dealing (50% of Attack Power) damage and bouncing to up to 3 additional targets within 8 yards, dealing (50% of Attack Power) damage per bounce. The cartridge gains 10% increased damage with each hit, up to a maximum of 50% increased damage. The last bounce also explodes, dealing (100% of Attack Power) damage to all enemies within 8 yards.

This updated ability includes a focus cost of 40, a cooldown of 18 seconds, and specified damage values for each hit of the cartridge. The ability can hit up to four targets and gains increased damage with each hit, encouraging the player to use it strategically in order to maximize its damage potential.

Here are some potential talent examples that could synergize with this updated ability:

  1. “Explosive Mastery” - A passive talent that increases the damage dealt by the final explosion of the Explosive Cartridge ability by 50%. Additionally, this talent reduces the cooldown of Explosive Cartridge by 2 seconds.
  2. “Bouncing Blades” - A passive talent that causes Flanking Strike to also hit up to two additional targets within 8 yards of the primary target, dealing (50% of Attack Power) damage per hit. Additionally, this talent causes each hit of Flanking Strike to increase the damage of the next Explosive Cartridge hit by 5%, up to a maximum of 25%.
  3. “Cartridge Crits” - A passive talent that causes Kill Command critical strikes to increase the critical strike chance of the next Explosive Cartridge hit by 25%, up to a maximum of 100%. Additionally, this talent causes each hit of Explosive Cartridge to increase the critical strike chance of the next Kill Command hit by 5%, up to a maximum of 25%.
  4. “Blast Wave” - A passive talent that causes the final explosion of Explosive Cartridge to also knock back enemies within 8 yards, and to deal (20% of Attack Power) additional fire damage over 4 seconds. Additionally, this talent causes the cartridge to gain 20% increased damage with each hit, up to a maximum of 100% increased damage.
  5. “Ricochet Rounds” - A passive talent that causes the magical cartridge to also ricochet to one additional target per hit, up to a maximum of 8 targets hit. Additionally, this talent causes each hit of the cartridge to increase the damage of the next Mongoose Bite or Raptor Strike by 5%, up to a maximum of 25%.
