well of course, they have put up so many barriers now that it isn’t worth doing it normally, for example you can’t even tell people what your group is for anymore unlike previous expansions.
But you’re not playing the character you got the boost on, are you? So why even bother getting this reward that is so intrinsic to that character?
To get a limited time or a rare mount for less than 100k? Yeah absolutely worth it.
He could’ve at least gotten the boost on the character he actually does want to play. Why on a character he doesn’t?
achie and mount are for all. so in the end for boost buyers it doesnt really matters

well that is obvious, because then I’d have to log into that character while it is still irredeemably uninteresting to play.

If the character is uninteresting to play and you don’t want to play it, why do you care for it? Simply leave it.
You’re wasting money - that’s my view.

well, yeah.
But there isn’t any other interesting spec to play and I have every class maxed now so I took the advice to not play my class and got a boost.
Just… do something else? What are you doing? There’s so many great games out there, not to mention all manner of other things. Why waste it levelling up characters you hate and sitting around in dungeons doing nothing whatsoever?

How about another RPG? Maybe Icewind Dale or Neverwinter Nights? How about another MMORPG? Elder Scrolls Online? There’s some really nice Skyrim mods. How about some strategy - perhaps you came here via the RTS games? Homeworld, Age of Empires 4, StarCraft 2? How about the new cat game? That literally costs the same as that boost.

but I don’t do dungeons, I’d have to use the class for that, I just farm mission table money now with my 15 characters on this realm but I assume they are removing that with dragonflight since they said no mission table.

Well, you don’t need the achievement for any of that, either - but at least this indicates to me that you earned the gold in-game and bought the boost for that, which makes me respect you considerably more.
But, even so, I don’t understand what your intention with doing it is.
