I cant start my guild! đź‘‘

Hello people of azeroth, it is i, true ruler of stormwind!! and i want to start my own guild!! but here is the problem

i wanted to buy guild charter “Queens Guard” but then it said, “There is already a guild named Queens Guard” bla bla bla!..

FAIR ENOUGH!

so i tried different name, “New Order” and it allowed me to buy it! so then it took me whole day to get the signatures! with my poor beautiful feet having to walk around recruiting soldiers, giving me BLISTERS!!! and when it was ready i returned to register it and

it said “There is already a guild named New Order”

WHAT IS THIS HM? I search the guild finder and couldnt even find guilds called New Order or Queens Guard, and if New Order exists then why allow me to buy the charter for that but not for Queen Guard, especially when both dont show up in guild finder

BASICALLY, i dont know if guild name is taken until ive gotten signatures and attempted registering it, THIS IS WASTE OF TIME! IM BUSY WOMAN! THE ROYALTY SHOULDNT BE DOING THIS! I REQUIRE EXPLANATION IMMEDIATELY!!!

It is a pretty subpar system, when we moved to Draenor from a dead server we had to change the guild name because a dead guild that was last active in 1476 had taken the name.

Well, I can only suspect that someone was also forming a guild with “New Order” at the same time as you.

That said, Unlike character names, Guild names are held indefinitely. However, you can open a ticket to see if either of them are indeed inactive and they may be able to help. Alternatively, they may be be able to alter the guild name you currently have signatures for so that you don’t have to start over.

Finally, we have in the past had quite a few people post here for signatures to start a guild. Many players here would be happy to create a level 1 for you to get the guild formed, then delete the character once it’s done, so don’t be afraid to create a thread if you need help. I’ve helped countless people form guilds this way.
