I’ve done a quick read-through of Rabies’ every comment so far, and have found that there have only been five instances in which he has been even remotely rude. The first one is number 75, regarding blood elves and mud, the second is number 277 in which he asked if someone was daft, third instance was 306 in which he stated that people like Tehya ruins the game for others, then it took until number 509 in which he claimed that Vixi was lying and that she was displaying a disgusting behaviour, then the last instance was 518 where he explicitly stated that reading is hard for Tehya. Some of these are even justified, wherein he had on numerous occasions before that stated how he’s done with this topic and asks for people to stop.
As for the rest of you guys… I would actually find it easier to compile a list of instances one of you haven’t been rude. None of you (nor I, obviously) have any right to claim the moral high ground at this point. 625 comments in this thread so far, and it took provocations all the way to comment 75 to even get a remotely rude or nasty reply from Rabies and then another 202 comments until the next. This is harassment at this point, and to be honest most of you should feel ashamed of yourselves for causing him actual distress about such a petty subject.
None of us knows OP or how he’s actually taking these comments about him, perhaps he actually feels distress over being bullied (don’t even dare deny it at this point). As far as we all know, he could be twelve years old or suffer from some sort of disability, and even if that’s not the case, it doesn’t justify any of this kind of behavior towards him. This thread is oozing with unwarranted toxicity the likes I haven’t seen here before.

Mute the thread and stop posting and it dies after the first wave of mild sass.
There are several people who’s in-game name does not match their TRP. I have never seen this as such a huge problem and the fact that people have blown such a simple thing out of proportion on both sides is baffling.
I would understand if the name itself was extremely inappropriate, but the extent some have gone to “Get rid of his name” is disappointing at best and very sad at the worst.
Let’s not forget. RP is a dollhouse. It’s not real. You can’t always agree with everyone or be right about everything.
Many people have pointed out different ways to make use of different names as it is. So instead of going “ok cool” or something along those lines, personally I’d take this as a chance to look at what actually matters and what we should be paying attention to instead as a community.
And yes. This too is my own opinion that you are more than allowed to disagree with.

Still doesn’t hide the name during prewritten /emotes. /look etc. can create something jarring if someone has an awful name.

His last comment was 543 and people are still going at his throat. Take another look through the whole thread, he doesn’t even post too often, mostly it’s just people talking about him between one another.
Except for the fact that he’s clearly stated over and over again that he’d rather have people be done with the topic and simply, you know… Stop, even expressing his distress over the matter. Don’t act like he wasn’t provoked and goaded into responding either, it took several dozen rude, denigrating comments before he even said something rude to anyone. This could have all ended at “your name doesn’t fit this realm in my opinion, I will report it”, but no, it had to go as far as 630 comments wherein a majority of them were directly attacking OP.
Just leave it at this, stop doubling down and justifying your harassment. “bu-huh he’s just playing victim”, S T F U, you have no idea who he is and what he’s feeling right now after initially having done nothing more than post on this forum about a whole other topic.

Nothing wrong with that if said people do questionable things, Perroy. If someone’s acting racist or sexist online I very much would like to make whomever hired them aware of it.

You bet your behind if someone’s posting antisemitic/racist stuff they deserve the doxxing and losing their job.
One evil does not justify another.
Doxxing is something that should never be treated lightly. A lot of people come to games and RP communities to escape their IRL daily lives, etc and i’m sure the last thing they want is to some stranger on the internet to leak their private information to anyone. Racists and sexists can easily be dealt with with /ignore and Blizzard’s report function and generally Argent Dawn has a tendency to cancel those kinds of people at times.
