I don’t think if you also haven an 444 HPal with 2,9k in queue. Why mess with a Dragon Healer and it’s long CDs what a HPal can spam heal everything
Don’t always do though.
they play own keys.
only the question, who registers there?
because as a holy pala I get instant invites. and then i will only join groups that have the best classes.
holy pala is extremely complex. and he has 110k aoe dps in 3 trash packs because he can also buff dmg.
and dragon has problems with ranged heals right?
it comes about that now everyone wants to have aug. so healer with hero is no longer mandatory.
Once you get to these levels that won’t work anymore. Players will look at the class of the leader and actively avoid it.
Look, 18’s and 24’s are not the same kind of deal. It’s totally, totally different people with different goals and abilities.
People at 24+ are generally kinder than those at 18 I’ve found, but the ones at 24 are seriously determined and extremely skilled, and they will not settle for people who aren’t up to their standard. They are less likely to flame, and they never obscure what it is you’re doing wrong if you’re doing something wrong because they understand what’s going on, and they’ll generally say it kindly. They won’t put up with denialism.
So you don’t get stuff like “Never run this before??!” “do you know what to do?” “you’re so terrible” etc. etc. but they will avoid playing with you if they perceive you’re not capable, and your class is part of that, and these guys have noses like a bloodhound for this sort of thing.
PvP is the same, maybe even worse. I knew blizz will ruin everything by adding something like untested yolo rushed support spec, but even I didnt expected it to be THIS bad.
Yes. the group search takes a long time. and then i have to check all the people and will never take people under 3k again.
that’s the irony too. 20s are lighter than 16s. 23s are lighter and much faster than 20s.
and another advantage is that group leaders check all profiles. I don’t have that much patience.
But the thing is… I’m a 22, and you’re a 22. Not 25. So I’ll invite you.
How much further you can get… well, we’ll see.
But the game isn’t (and imo shouldn’t) be balanced around such a level of content.
If there’s people that want to do that content at those levels; that’s all fine and good. But the game should not be balanced around them. There’s a reason gearing stops after a certain point.
You are right about that, but it is worse than normal.
Well there’s no point balancing it around all the levels of play where all classes are more than viable anyway. Extreme disparities in skill requirements should be looked into though.
Fair enough. Resume complaining.
I am not complaining though. It is not influencing me. I am only recognizing the problem.
Of course there is. As long as THAT balance is somewhere between certain parameters; it’s all good. And IMO the devs should then not be wasting more time on it; their time can be better spend.
Of course I understand that there’s people who disagree with that stance; certainly when it’s their preferred content that is being affected by it. And that’s fine; we can agree to disagree.
Depends on what someone views as ‘extreme’.
Because I don’t think there’s a good concensus on that.
Kind of like how some players view a 3% difference in damage negligible, while others think it’s unacceptable (or worth persuing).
The people who go after the 3% are either
a) Meta-slaves who can’t extract the 3% either way
b) Very high end players
Everybody else will accept more than that. So those “certain parameters” are precisely the parameters that narrow as the game gets harder.
If the class is within a few percentages at the top they are likely to be the same at the bottom, and if they are not the class is likely too difficult or it does something innately that isn’t useful if the mobs don’t like that long or if the pull patterns are strange. This was most certainly the case with mages last patch, which is one of many reasons we got an overhaul.
I’m not saying that only max level should be considered, but I am saying that it’s at the max level where any balance issues really come into play. Until that point you can chill.
While that’s true; I’m saying that all that time and resources spend on trying to create that balance, could be better spend on things that affect a much larger part of the playerbase.
Those changes affect everybody. Everybody gets the changes and everybody gets to experience what is hopefully a more fair fight, even if it isn’t as important.
I will say though that if balance changes are making the game considerably less fun then there needs to be some reevaluation. Players at lower rankings are more likely to care proportionally more about this, but high end players are likely to agree.
But i am sure there is a consensus the current situation IS extreme.
I’m not going to change my Main cause I liked how PreVoker felt healing. I just play a little alt chars and wait for fixes
Speaking from my perspective; no they don’t affect me. I don’t care about ‘a fair fight’, because I don’t ‘fight’ other players.
I’d rather see fun new talents, gear bonuses and whatnot be developed. That’s much more interesting to me.
Agreed.
I honestly wouldn’t know; it does not affect me in the slightest.
