I hate visions SO MUCH

I enjoy visions a lot, but that’s because I enjoy pushing myself in solo content and the feeling of progression in being able to optimise and do better than I did last time.

If I didn’t have that part of me, as it seems many do not by the replies in this thread, I wouldn’t enjoy them.

I enjoy visions, I do not enjoy assaults…oh alas… I cannot do one without other. This fill-a-bar-assault thing got old after a while.

People like me that don’t raid and do mythic+ visions are great, we need more stuff like this, we need more content that’s hard for players that likes to play alone

I mean… you have 7 days to fill the bar and it takes 10 minutes at most.

I said I do not enjoy, not they are hard. /slaps

I’m ok with OG vision but SW is super annoying…

yeah, and I quite literally hope they abandon the whole concept regarding visions.

Serious question, what would you want to see as a challenging solo content progression track?

Not exactly.

The visions are a fixed experience with a few weekly affixes while torghast is a rogue like content with random layouts. Everything in torghast is random, from the map to the mobs, bosses or even the buffs you get every so often.

Outside of bugs if you fail a vision then you’re responsible for it (pushed too far without a cloak high enough, gear not being good enough bad corruption or enough titan research). That’s something you can control and can improve on.

Torghast on the over hand has like every rogue like game the potential of delivering dead on arrival runs, where you’ll pointlessly struggle because of bad rng.

Torghast is pretty much a hardcore island expedition while the visions are a hardcore scenario.

Imo the whole vessel thing can’t work with torghast because of the inherent randomness of such content. I’d rather have the raid format where every week you get some loot out of the boss / level X and if you want more then you need to go deeper in the tower.

Nothing. I don’t want solo content in an MMORPG. That’s what we have games like Skyrim for. (Maybe a bad example, but you get my drift.) I want better dungeon design. More challenging bosses and less challenging trash. Convoluted hallways with dead ends. Hidden treasure that dynamically changes, bosses that follow that same routine. Open zones that don’t lag out my PC because of the absurd amount of mobs or friendly NPC’s strolling about to give the game a more “live” impression. There’s more that I can elaborate on that, but for the sake of replying to your question, I think this suffices.

Ever considered that you’re not supposed to level your cloak forever? To get a high cloak level you need to have high skill. You’re clearly hit your skill cap.

Just did 3 masks solo, really good one

I wanted to ask.
Is there some catch up in the cloak levels if someone for example starts 2 months later?

Theoretically yes, in reality no. Considering that the amount of vessels you can farm per week is about 5-6 i think, as time goes by it will be impossible to catch up before some time. I only started the cloak this week on an alt and the maximum i could go is 5 maybe 6 rank before i run out of vessels.

Then it is another flipping carrot on a stick+ Chinese water drop torture for those who care about their progression.
It should have some sort of catch like the artifacts: behind those who did it weekly but not far behind

Totally agree with you. Practically, if someone hasn’t been able to play since the beginning of the patch it will be almost impossible to catch up in a timely manner.
I don’t know if they decide to change the timegating on getting vessels at some point later, right now it’s really impossible to start now and reach the max cloak level in a week and the gap will only become bigger as time goes by.

Not really true; I missed a week or two on an alt and got rank 10 already. If you one shot all of them you would eventually catch up because right now if you one shot it all you’ll have 5 spare anyway.
The hardest thing catching up is having the gear/essences needed to one shot the horrifics.
