The irony of this coming from a WoW forum troll
You’re free to have that opinion.
But it seems to go over people’s head that there is a desire for people to play Cata Classic even if they’re comfortably siloed in a reaffirming anti-Cataclsym echo chamber.
guys, bear in mind that we are playing end Cata version where many things had been fixed. not the one launched back in time.
Just wait until the entry heroics come out and everybody is crying about how hard they are.
Seems unlikely, AFAIK we’re getting nerfed dungeons, which were very easy.
This goes both ways, one of the things they “fixed” was Fury doing damage, which is why it doesn’t do any dps in Cataclysm, despite that originally it was good for 2/3 of the expansion.
Players are going back to relive the moment but I don’t think ppl give it deep thought your going back doing stuff what you done on your retail account redoing it again you don’t get the same feeling if you give it really deep thought you prob will be shocked players who never done any of it will a new moment… blizzard have thrown retail out of the window because of classic retail very easy there is no skill to most features hey let’s nerf bosses down make them easy for a wake club players
wake players who wait for bosses or features to be nerfed so that can proclaim the wake feeling ops a tripped over a stick and got a 534 weapon in dragonblight you guys should be lol because how easy retail is I am bit of a tard my self but the can’t you see we aren’t shaping the destiny’s of the game we are just moaning if a feature is hard or cosmic let’s moan hard and tell blizzard to make heroic dungeons easy
Blizzard you need a huge debloat for new players and make the game buy to play
There’s gonna be errors and typos but get my picture retail should bring back challenge dungeons and it should be stuck between heroic and mythic but part of the solo que family
…I hope not. We got everything pre-nerf in TBCC and WoTLKC.
Do we get the same heroics as 2010 release, or the nerfed version that came later?
I play since wotlk and I remember cataclysm very challenging expansion, no other expansion made me feel this way. Maybe now, will and sure will be easier to play. But those people who hated cataclysm or say it was easier than wotlk knows nothing. Cataclysm never deserved that hate. They just didn’t play the game as most people are saying here. I’m glad you feel the Cataclysm like that, it makes me think is gonna be a good classic expansion and maybe more people will change their minds about Cata.
strange, as I found the questing not hard anymore in Wrath.
Which expansion? Wrath of course, the beginning of the downfall.
Fair answer, to me that came much later, when they introduced endless grinding.
It’s started in legion, but to be fair, Legion had great new feature. Artifact power constant grinding was not my favorite, but i could stomach it.
Then came azerite power, and shadowlands. It felt really strange to be granted powerful artefact weapon, the ultimate weapon, only to be discarded in future expansion.
So in summary, BFA and onward expansion ruined the game, not cataclysm.
well thats just the internet Just ignore and enjoy the game its always the same insert expansion xyz and you will find people who hate on it
never understood this statement , if something retail is much more hardcore
i play classic when i want to pop a bear and relax while playing retail i feel like i constantly getting punched in the face
classic classess are much more simpler and easy to learn , while some classess in retail require a PhD in order to understand them
And a common mob in M+ have more abilites than a classic raid boss
I honestly don’t know. I assumed with Classic, TBCC and WoTLKC giving us the pre-nerf version of everything that Cata would have the same treatment.
But Bigbazz thinks the content is post-nerf and he’s not known for being an unreliable source of information.
It’d be a shame if they didn’t.
The tuning aside, people made the dungeons more challenging by going in with PvP gear, not following mechanics, and not utilizing their full toolkit - whether it be defensives, kiting, interrupting, making the DPS check, going oom too quickly, etc.
They didnt ruin it in any one expansion. The ruining it happened over a bunch of expansions with a few steps in each one. On their own nothing to worry about but the cumulative effect was bad.
My issues with Cataclys were the changes to the talent system, (I hated the dumbed down talents we had from Cata through to Shadowlands) and the changes to alliance zones were very negative/destructive and i was an alliance player. The changes to horde zones in Cata tended to be neutral or even positive for the most part, especially for the Forsaken.
Not only pre-nerf, they had to go in and make WLK classic more difficult … which wasn’t an unsuccessful endeavour, but I would not say that Wrath was ever difficult – except for ICC at the end during the first weeks, and certain encounters in Ulduar.
I too am hoping we’ll get the pre-nerf dungeons. We’ll find out soon enough, I suppose, and probably not through Blizzard.
are you sure you’re not conflating cataclysm and mop talent system. When you say the dumb down talent system until shadowlands, i feel you refers to mop talent system. Just making sure.
Cataclysm has a talent overhaul with new restrictions. Most of the talent trees are setup that the majority of your points are laser guided into mandatory talents that allow the builds to function, far more concentrated than before, in order to force players to play the class how the developers intend, for balancing. They also force an end talent which kills hybrid builds entirely.
That leaves you with very little wiggle room or nuance to the talents and their impact. MOP just took this and repackaged it by making the mandatory talents baseline and giving you a few choices, which actually gave more talent freedom for many specs than you had in Cataclysm.
Cata talents are a huge stepback from WOTLK, and they are not really better than what MOP and later expansions did. Dragonflight has course corrected back closer to pre Cata, and arguably improved on that too.
