Official number will be much lower. The barrier to entry for addon hc is huge. You need to find out about this addon in the first place. You need to be computer expert to be able to install addons. So basically only hardcore nerds play addon hc. Now with official hc, this mode will be promoted, so everyone will know about it. This mode will not require advanced computer operations, so much more people will be able to launch it. Basically number of people who will try hardcore will be huge first days. And of course new players will not have gold for potions. Did you even play vanilla? You don’t have gold for spells.

I think OP is wrong. Firstly, plenty are still going to die, trade/AH or not. The amount of people high level enough, that have the luck to get BiS items drop is going to be seriously low.

Also, the whole point of no trade/AH was to stop HC players from benefitting from non-HC players on normal servers. Now it is official hardcore that problem will no longer exist.

All the supposed problems will not be problems. But, if you don’t want to use these features anyway, no one is stopping you.

The reason normal bots dir often is because it’s not worth making them not die often. Bots for hardcore have already been developed and tested 3 days after official was first announced. There’ll be a flood.

No, but I know people who know people who are. Nor are they being subtle about what they’re working on. Anyone with cursory understanding and google can find it, it’s not private or secret what bot developers are doing. The have public forums like everyone else.

The point is that thinking there won’t be bots on HC is naive. Lv35 teleport, fly and no clip hacking herb and mining bots will be up and running day 3 or 4 if my guess is right.

Where there is a market, there will be bots.

WIth the addon you dont even have health potion at all time, you need to get luckey drops or find few from a vendor.

With the addon it is 0,5% who reach 60.

How high will this number be for official? I would not be surprised if its 10-20% with these changes.

So basically, you need an addon to tell you not to use AH? Who cares if others are using it? Weren’t they already lots of people using it on Era?

What’s the catch ? Why do you care if John is using AH or not ? Make your own rules ( …use the addon? ) if the official ones aren’t … enough for you.
