I would love to be able to exchange mythic+ keys I hate for dungeons I actually like, even as downgrade

You do need to run a key on the same level as your current key is or higher to be able to change it. The NPC will still be there, but you get an error prompt when you try to swap your key.

I see. Barely use that option but wasn’t there a somewhat instant change of key dungeon on Mondays?

At least you learnt today you can swap your key at the end of dungeons providing you meet the requirements. The system was introduced in 9.1:-

• Ta’hsup now spawns at the end of Mythic+ dungeons that are completed before the time limit is reached. He will offer a one-time Keystone exchange to any player whose current Keystone is at or below the level of the dungeon that was recently completed on time. Keystones that are at a higher level than the dungeon that was recently completed on time cannot be traded, including the Keystone that was used to start the run.

I could have sworn the dungeon of my mythic keystones changed on Mondays several times in the past. Might have been just a bug though. There were numerous issues last year with people having their keys changed back on logout after changing after run.

There has been a bug, not specifically on monday, that a rerolled key after a dungeon got changed back to the original key after relogging.

Can’t, game doesn’t let me. The Keystone NPC at the end just talks to me about how we timed the key but doesn’t let me swap.

No, it allows you to change key whenever you time a key and you have a key of equivalent level to the one you timed or lower. I, and others, were changing keys constantly when doing keys yesterday, fishing for a halls of infusion for someone else but none of us got one.

When you were able to change/roll your +20 key by doing a +2 key, the whole system did not really makes sense.
But i agree the game is just terrible in informing the players about their systems.

The key you run and time has to be the same level as the key you want to swap or lower. So if you run an 18 you can reroll your 16 key, but it wont let you reroll your 19 key.

Things are announced in patch notes etc but I agree there is no big directory of how everything works and we heavily rely on being able to find stuff in google, on wowhead, icyveins etc.
