If you nerf lock defensives you also need to nerf warrior damage

  • Mortal Coil healing is now 50% effective in PvP combat.
  • Soul Link’s shared damage with the Warlock’s pet is now 50% effective in PvP combat.
  • Profane Bargain’s increase to the effectiveness of Soul Link at low health is now 40% effective in PvP combat.

Bro im not gonna lie, I clicked that link and almost started screaming at the top of my lungs, first thing I saw being the DH buffs.

Also, if they nerf Lock (Demo pls) and Warr in one swoop, thats a win win in my eyes. I’d rather have petspam adressed though, if I could choose.

Demo just needs a rework. This nameplate spamming and having to rely on AI to kill something os giga stupid. I’d want mop demo back with demon form, that was insanely fun. Or even thalkiel legion, however that would still require a lot of pets.

I remember Venruki saying Demo feels like you’re doing nothing all game (in terms of your buttons feeling as if nothing is happening) but somehow everything is dying.

Tbh I wouldn’t mind the “Lots of pets” playstyle if actually managing the pets would be part of the gameplay. Rn Demo seems like its simply 3D printing more guys to run at the enemy. In terms of the nameplate spamming I’d just wish the base UI would offer more option as to what you want to see and what you don’t want to see. For instance Shaman Totems and Imps fall under the same category, if you uncheck it you suddenly lose nameplates for totems aswell.

Also facing Demo rn is really unfun, even winning feels like a slog. It’s inconsistent, sometimes he whips out the tyrant, but for some reason the summoning process gave the guy braindamage and he forgets he can cast and tries to run people down with autos, another time he starts pumping out 2 casts and deletes you off the face of the earth with critluck while you’re held hostage in the axetoss coil axetoss combo.

I can’t even explain what exactly bothers me about facing the spec, its just so cumbersome and unentertaining to face.

Demonform returning to Demo would be awesome, that was badass.

That’s the best description of current demo i have read in a while. Actually made me smile.

I keep saying demo is an 3D Affliction spec, only difference is the damage comes harder and the 3D dots are gone when the lock dies.

Imo Warlocks were extremely tanky against casters and it’s a good change though he is also right about Warrior. Short CD Heroic Leap, 2x Charge, Storm Bolt, 2x Bladestorm, Shockwave. Seriously Warrior became more mobile than Havoc and WW.

Every melee is on par with WW/DH atm, its unreal.

WW has always been “weak” to getting swapped to, but rn its borderline cruel to have them rely on playing hit and run, but other classes can just catch them so easily when they try to play tag, its unreal.

Imo Havoc doesn’t need buffs - Sub needs nerfs because whenever any team would play Havoc in AWC there is Sub Rogue card that the enemy can pull out. Once Sub gets nerfed Havoc, Arms and WW (to lesser extent) will pop up. Assassination is doomed this season because Evokers being in meta.

ven says alot of things, this one is sorta true in terms of which demo has quite ramp on its dps cd which it needs to get casted before pets and tyrant start doing something

on the other part is hard to agree as demo has to do the most in every match tanking melees on its side and juke every cast while also trying control the enemy healer and time your own defensives to match enemy melees cds training you, melees that you will never get rid of for enough time to not need to juke, you need to juke constant and if there wasnt precog they would just use one of million micro ccs now after they missed a kick

your entire round goes on trying stay alive and trying to get a cast out versus people that have 3x easyer time just running at you and doing pve pretty much and now blizzard is nerfing lock defensives even more which is a joke :joy:

this soul link started from 30 and now its went from there 30 → 25 → 20 → 15 → 10 → 5

what next, it go 0 or we invent something new or we realise we need go back to something meaningful on this current state of all melee mobility and frontloaded dmg when the class is essentially a turret and its core design were to be a turret caster

We’ve been there actually. As someone mentioned locks are tanky against casters but squishy against melees - this happened in legion and bfa and obvious solution was buffing armor. Personally I dont understand why has been demon Armor removed.

i have no idea what is even going on in the game anymore, im completely lost at this point with blizzards general idea on class designs or the general plan for pvp :man_shrugging:

im sure tho that at some point after these nerfs we will need to start increasing locks defensives against melees again as it essentially still remains a hard casting turret that it is then it will look quite stupid if i see them increasing 5-10% on soul link after these nerfs now

In return though, some Hyper mobile melee deal damage to an extent that they shouldn’t be able to (or happen to have some gimmick that hten gets nerfed).

Like S1 DH Sweep combo was dumb af.

Also, credit to WW players, have you seen what happens to people when you don’t tunnel them into oblivion, especially into anything thats not plate? I have. Sadly I think WWs missed their window now. HPal was weak, but gets buffed, they were only really blocked out by the pesky subrogues.

Now Hpal will return, prolly giving them the final deathblow. Imagine quequing WW into RMPala lol.

I faced a really good WW at 1600, sounds surprising right I bet , and even more strangely , I just had that feeling he was going to be good from his Transmog lol

He knew when to go in, when to out, how to set up and seemed to do Willy wonker bonkers damage. This isn’t to say WW is really good, but yeah that guy was a nice surprise

On a slight side note, it really irritates me how some complain about DH mobility , like if you take that away what is the class? You’d need to give a fair amount in return and it somewhat deviates away from the class identity and fantasy

They still tanky as hell, probably need another nerf. Nobody is ever able to kill one in any of the games I’ve played since the reset. Saw a retri launching all of his CDs and it barely moved the warlocks hp bar, if that had been a spriest instead of warlock he would have been chunked for a sizeable amount of his hp. People tried to kill him all the rounds but his hp just wasn’t moving, not when I was healing him or when the other healer was healing him. It didn’t even feel like he was taking any damage. Just slowly walking around as he’s getting stunned, slowed and interrupted into oblivion but still everyone is dying around him. Big 3-3 for me and the other healer, our wins were with the lock. Dumbest thing I’ve seen in solo shuffle so far.

Can also be the other people inside that RSS just sucked.
But anyway, I will never want blizzard to nerf something even more because people complain instantly afterwards. Wait a few days, see how it is before discussing if it needs more or if its other parts that should be looked at before something else.

Since if they would nerf things based on what random ppl say on the forum, every single spec so far would have been nerfed so hard everything is F tier.
And if they went with buffing every single spec so far according to what some people say they would be S++ tier.

Not sure about damage, but it is true that Warriors have way too many gap closers. As a Hunter, I’m never able to keep a warrior away from me. They always have a charge or leap available. As if that wasn’t enough, they have the ability to stun you on their charge automatically now. It’s really fun to be a warrior nowadays but it’s a little bit too much :stuck_out_tongue:
