If You Were An NPC 💬

@Sinaaki can you get me a job in the stormwind army? In return I can
shall we say “thin” the herd of potential suitors for Anduin.

This character is a bit of a grump with a good(ish) heart, but he only really cares about his people, he’s a war veteran and former bloodmage, I’d like to see him leading some mages or fellow warlocks in a Horde/Thalassian military stronghold taking a prominent role in a B story quest line. That or being a dungeon boss for the Alliance. ;D

I would sell explosives near the fishing trainer.
“What? You never seen a vulpera fish before?”

Throw an explosive into the water and then collect all the dead fish on the surface?

That’s the fishing patch I didn’t knew i wanted until now.

You may not remember it, but an early quest in MoP has you do exactly that. It’s part of the Hozen village quest line when you’re getting them ready for war.

I would stand next to High Executor Derrington at the Bulwark, reminding players pick up “Flame in a bottle” as soon as they pick up the quest Scarlet Diversions.

Clearing that camp of various scarlet NPC’s after dying 12 times only to find out I didn’t bring the bottle??? O_O I
 I can’t

I’d be a neutral bear with the blue druid balance of power artifact appearance sitting on a floating cloud above and out the front of Stormwind. Perhaps there’d be a red version at Orgrimmar.

In the center of the cloud is a small pool you can fish from for current content level basic fish.

You’d need a flying mount to get up to the cloud. If you /sit on the cloud he’d say a few lines.

  • “Each hardship we survive, even by the by the skin of our hide, is a testament to our strength. No matter the challenge.”
  • “Whether you feel it in your fur or not, cub, you are a survivor. A fighter. Strong.”
  • “You will succeed.”

If two or more players are on the cloud at the same time, he’ll also say (with a 10 min cooldown.)

  • “You see? We are never alone. Even if we do not talk. Even if we just sit and be. There are others.”

If someone triggers /sit Then food and beer would slowly rise from inside the cloud near the bear. Eating or drinking it would provide a cosmetic buff with the image of a roaring bear called “I will succeed
”

Jumping off the cloud automatically makes you do a warrior skyhold drop animation.

I’d be an elite living alone in a cave somewhere near the sea guarding something that Horde players need for a World Quest. I’d die slightly less often than I do at the moment in Warmode.

I would be sitting in a couch with popcorn somewhere in the forums, I’d reward Elite max Ilvl gear for bringing premium alliance snowflake tears.

The quest would be something like this

Soldier, your task is simple, find any Alliance matching these descriptions and hunt them down.

Faction : Alliance
Category : Snowflake
Job : Complaining about horde bias
Feats : Disrupting and derailing pro horde topics
Ideology : Sylvannas is only liked for her body
Hates : The horde
Likes : Anduin
Crush : Jaina
Race : Probably Human or Worgen
Class : Obviously not a warlock or rogue

I’d sit at the bottom of any random body of water and when interacted with, a player gets underwater breathing and increased swimspeed buff. But also a debuff with slower movement speed on land and while flying.
On interacting a second time while having both the buff and debuff, you may buy an antidote. By paying with items found on the bottom of any body of water.

Also, that quest where you become an NPC questgiver is one of my favourites and the best part is that there’s actually follow-up because later you run into that silly orc and have to help him.

  1. Hyjal

  2. standing near the entrance of the firelands, putting other Druids on Fire trying to join the Druids of the flames somehow.

Giving a quest with many crazy ideas to somehow recreate them. Which ends with unlocking the skin

A female dwarven guard patrolling in Ironforge.

Because we dwarven girls are as sturdy & tough as our men.

I’d like to be Hemet Nesingwary’s apprentice, and he sends you on a quest with this rookie hunter (me) to help capture a big bear pet.

That one is awesome. IMO from best to worst it goes:

  1. Dumas (so relatable XD)
  2. Orkus (at least he saved Hillsbrad)
  3. Johnny awesome (Not going to try and get it past the filter so I’m just going to say that he’s the swear beginning with p)

If Coldshade were to be a NPC
an Enchanting trainer located in one of the large questhubs/capitals in the Light vs Void expansion we’ll inevitably get some time. Would also like her to be a part of the questing experience that expansion, sending the PC out for some relic/magical reagent hunts in old ruin zones (should we get any) or dungeons. It would be cool if she sent the PC out on these random quests a couple times throughout the expansion, with some being added every patch
and then, in the final patch, she would turn villain because of the Void and use all the items she’s been given during your quests during her encounter in the final raid. The idea of the PC gathering up things all expansion and giving them to a rando NPC that doesn’t have much of a role otherwise only for these items to be later used against them amuses me.

Love this topic.

Anyhow, I’m a generous loner. I would be in an Iglo somewhere north in the Stormpeaks. I would be a quest giver that requests mechanical parts for my random projects. In return you’ll be rewarded with the mechanical weapons that I made from previous adventurers handed out parts.
