Illustrious Insight is a nightmare

I’m not sure what game you’re playing that needs an average of 22.5m per season to survive but it’s not the one I’m playing :joy_cat:

I think the point of mettle was to reduce people’s capacity to dominate a server by becoming the go-to guy early on.

That said, when there are dumb things like the Lariat with it’s epic low drop rate, and BiS status… there’s always ways to achieve it. That recipe alone was 2.5 mil on the AD AH when I last looked. Sporecloak is always highly contested in raids. If Blizzard actually wanted to give more people a shot at being a crafter, the recipes need to be more attainable.

you are correct i dont need this much gold. for me crafting is about building community and interacting with players.

i think you are right about mettle but the problem i am encountering that i am hoping blizzard take note of. is that when the other crafters leave. what you are left with is 1 person who is impotent. they just cant cover demand. it is like a reverse season 1

Tbf, cross-realm private crafting orders would also be really nice so that indeed small servers don’t bottleneck around a single person.

And… let us set minimum quality on public orders. There’s probably 10x as many people around who can craft the item but don’t bother to work the market. I have a couple of very capable crafting characters but no interest in selling my skills outside of my immediate circle. Would pick 5-star things off the public order list if they were reasonable offers, but I won’t go out of my way to find buyers.

Thats not a bad number, as i understand you are a jc that had many more orders, and honestly i made that money with just engineering (40% being mats shuffle for ah and 60% being crafting 418 wrists with 60k fee + 40-50k insight for guaranteed for cr and r5 tools) first 2 months into DF.
As you say you are the only crafter! so you could just say “you send Q4, i recraft my mats till Q5, price is xxxx, no scam its in the chat anyway”
if starts QQ just say “ill pass, no hard feeling, gl finding another crafer” as i did at start of expansion that i owned engi market. easy.
just ignore idiot people honestly.

Exactly this, although I would say that I think it should be possible to farm more of these instead of having to create an army of alts. You should get some of them whenever you do something with the profession or just play the game in general. In other words, they should be farmable, with a massive emphasis on achieving things. Quite frankly, you could probably tie them directly to something like the trading post “achievements”.
