Im done... im done with this community

Ooof…forum ban incoming.

Who goes there?! An illusion?!

It’s funny how toxic most of these comments in here are, really just illustrates OPs point about the community in the first place. The amount of people that do so is quite high, and Blizzard needs to fight it a lot more.

Lunaera, I urge you once more. Please seek professional therapy against those withdrawal symptoms of your mana addiction! We all care for your well-being and it pains us to see you talking in tongues and seeing stuff that isn’t there!

That sounds… spicy shake

This statement really upsets me. If it wasn’t for us, our Alliance Thalassian elves would’ve never gotten the last 3 hair colours. If it wasn’t for us asking for customizations, as it is in our RIGHT to do, we never would have gotten ANYTHING. I would strongly suggest you stop attacking the very community that brought the things you enjoy today to life. I’m disappointed with this thread.

A lot of people who don’t want void elf players to get high elf expectations are just mad because the changes they want to see are nowhere near as demanded or popular, saying that as someone who has no intention to play a void elf/high elf
I get other races needing touchups as well, but by the looks of it they’re touching allied races in this round of extra customization options, which were left out in the first wave of customization options at launch and the only ones that really need some extra love are the allied races to begin with.

Post what you want to see in the game, so that Blizzard can add to the game. Rather then demanding Blizzard removes from a game that is already lacking in some areas

I’m not attacking anyone I’m just suggesting my opinion on the whole forum situation.

Of course everyone has the right to post freely on this forum as long as it follows the rules. But, what I was saying is constantly asking for customizations when we as an allied race already got plenty and you still see at least 10 threads a week about Void elf customizations request, that can get a little annoying. At the very least keep it all to one thread.

I mean first it was 1 natural hair color.

Then it was please add black, brown, and white and I promise I will never ask for anything else.

Then it was tentacle toggle

Then it’s something else like changing the racial to make it more Voidy.

It’s putting so much negative stereotype on our community.

At least keep it all to one thread. Because otherwise it would be considered spam.

Because I called the community childish for fighting over customizations? I am right you know. Read the entire thread’s comments and see how many childish comments I’ve received.

“If I see you ingame with blonde hair I will /spit on you”

And this is only one example. There are plenty and plenty of other childish comments here. Which only proves my point more.

But that’s just the forums. Forums will always be a messy messy place for thousands of years to come.

Exactly!

We deserve as much customization as any core race fam. Yes hair colours were a significant addition but when you compare them with all the hairstyles and jewellery and tattoos the others got. We got none of that, and while I will personally hold off with requests for a while, that does not mean I will not support others making requests. Some people felt that now is the time that Blizzard is listening, hence the elevated excitement with requests. It’s normal and healthy for the game.

Never claimed otherwise. I’m excited for the new customizations and it will definitely be healthy for the Roleplay community as there will be an increase in allied races being played.

Agree.

I don’t think many people are fundamentally opposed outright to more options. I think the “bad blood” manifests from the perception that advocates of helf customisations get more attention than others and appear less willing to “stay in their lane”. By this I mean for example in the Nightborne thread there was a good section of it that became focused entirely on more Velf-helf customisations (not helped by blue posting in there about that I suppose) and you see similar in the belf thread and the Velf threads explicitly asking about “voidy” customisations.

I don’t think it’s outright opposition in all cases, but rather a fatigue of most customisation threads becoming at some point about making Velf look more like helf.

These players have every right to ask and be heard, absolutely 100% but I honestly think some are unaware they feed into the exaggerated stereotype that helf fans are an entitled bunch when they do happen to co-opt other threads in this way and bring every conversation that is going on to high elves.

To be clear it’s not always helf fans who do this,. It’s also anti helfers (as seen in the HMT customisation thread where someone has brought up void elves as an aggro point but thankfully it hasn’t led to a detail).

This is it honestly, I think people just (at times) want a break from it. Kinda like sylvanas. It’s not that everyone hates her, but a lot of people are sick of having her everywhere they’ve looked for a while, if that makes sense? We can avoid the helf and Velf threads when we want, but when people bring them into the NB thread and other race threads it is a bit like “can you guys please not make everything about you?”.

This said there have been posts of fans of other races in these threads simply posting support. That is the way to do it!

This here is exactly what’s happening, and I’m deeply sad to see moderators aren’t doing anything in this regard.

Every time we mention the words “Void Elves” or “High Elves” we get harassed by trolls slandering us, calling us “greedy”, “obnoxious”, “childish” among other nonsense.

This has to stop. Seriously, it’s not even funny. These trolls have to realize we are actually real life people behind a screen with feelings, who feel passionate about the game and elves in particular. Stop treating us like a callous sacks who deserve to be yelled at and persecuted every time we suggest something for our favorite race. We’re not to be blamed individually if our request is popular or loud.

This really has to stop. It’s very annoying to post your suggestions on the forums eagerly and excitedly only to be insulted at your face.

I love elven culture in this game despite the fact we ruined the original continent, but I dislike the “I am better than you who doesn’t like magic just be a lame Druid” elven society

Also their model is not the best, especially for female. Too delicate and fragile

:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Still here. . .

Plate armor look especially ridiculous on female belves

ff14 community is same .they have not come from mars .the only thing is that square enix has strict policy regarding toxicity and you actually get banned for it with no leniency .
that is missing from wow and blizzard games .report button does nothing .

It is probably more to do with the attitude of -some- of the Void Elf as High Elf posters. Nobody cares about Void Elf customisation. It isn’t contentious. Void Elves as actual Void Elves should get customisation, they’ve kinda been kicked to the curb a bit. They even had their own customisation thread. Lasted two days before it was hijacked by Void elf as High Elf players and turned into being all about them, with no intention of discussing Void Elf as Void Elf customisations at all. Want to talk about Blood Elf -and- Void Elf customisation? Forget it, we’ll have a crack commando team of Void Elf as High Elf posters there right away to make sure that they say you shouldn’t get your ideas and they should have them instead, nothing for you Void or Blood boi!

You can’t even discuss Nightborne, or Wildhammer Dwarves for hecks sake, without people trying to make it about Void Elves as High Elves.

Now that should be actionable, it is downright discourteous, and people need to stop doing it. The only thing that makes it worse is then going “Everyone is so mean to us!” “Well stop being mean to them then?” “No, everyone is so mean to US!” “Other people can talk about things y’know, why not just let them?”

Those sort of trolls need to realise that people care about the races they favour and would like to be able to discuss ideas without everything being interrupted with Void as High Elf requests.

Hopefully the message is getting through, given that people are getting (rightly) exasperated with the worst kind of behaviour being shown by that demographic…
