Tolkien even used Anglo-Saxon English to represent Rohirric*. Latin etc. would be fine to fit into WoW - it’s just a good shorthand of sorts to represent an archaic language used now in formal settings.
*There’s a rather interesting little bit of trivia with how the further you go back in family trees with the Rohirrim, the more Gothic and purely Germanic the names become. From Frealaf etc. to Vidugavia, Marhwini, etc.
I think it’s hard for him to be forgotten when elves live for… well, we’re not really told how long.
Unless i’m mistaken (I left my kindle at work), Drathir’s name is implied to be treat in a similar vein to Voldemorte’s* in that it’s not really spoken - so it/him being a taboo subject really lends weight to his name forming an insult.
In the Ashbringer comic, the dwarf Brannigan Thundermaul fought Thane Kor’thazz, and they insulted each other during the battle, even using the words “w@nker” and “g1t” to take jabs at each other.
My character uses alot of ‘British swearwords’’ given that he’s originally from the most Victorian themed country in WoW. He’s also using some elven curses given his intrest in elven societies.
But if there’s a few swear words he is frequently saying then it’s:
Bloody Hell Mother Moon! Father of the Fang! By Greymane’s Glory!
