Man I would like to give an actual hand, but I always lag behind because I miss so many items that are required for these things. I’m actually stuck at the sixth orb, looking to get all the items needed to please the spirits but it’s going to take me still a long time (and if I had to actually discover them it would be impossible! I would need to have all toys pets and mounts for a good chance). It’s still a lot of fun don’t get me wrong, but I’ll never be able to contribute

Of course you did. The DF “secrets” are not actually secrets; they tell you exactly where to go - even a 5-year-old with a mental disability could solve them.

NB FYI: You won’t need the all the items. Not sure how many folks are still doing the sixth orb but all you really need to do is hang around and wait for someone with one of the items you are missing to use it. If they do it will count for everyone within a 10 yard radius but you need to be at the particular spirit. Once the spirit is satisfied it will de-spawn.

Orb 9 is taking sweet time. So far the guess that it requires multiple ‘keys’. It has actually already been solved, but we don’t know it just yet or what even the correct solution was.
Everything we need is right in front of us.
It will go even slower with so many having gone off to play PoE2. Then there is the cypher part which nearly 90% do not understand how to do, including myself, so they stick around and pollute the channel with a bunch of useless memes. I imagine that is how the response from the one person who actually gave the correct answer( according to the ask Josh reply) got lost or that person got fed up and deleted it.

I absolutely believe this.
Not everybody with a knack for this sort of thing is on teh secrets discord, statistically speaking 9/10 wouldn´t be becaus ethey´re casual gamers.
I don´t mean to throw shade on the SF discord by any stretch, but Just because they take it more seriously doesn´t mean they´re the best at it, just like demanding metacomp for a +5 or aotc for a Normal raid doesn’t make the leader a progamer.

Indeed the Discord channel is polluted by so many useless spam that it’s difficult to follow up.
It is nearly impossible for the mods to do anything as it would mean restrict post in this channels or simply delete the pollution, wrong theories that are spammed there.
I had difficulties to just find what are the clues that we are sure makes sense to solve it, and it seems that the group there believe extremely hard to use this specific cypher which might be the wrong path. Josh mentioned it can be done with a pen and paper, which means I doubt it is linked to a specific cypher.

By that he means you can draw up a grid with a shift. Then you can use the poem and apply it to your grid to try and decode it. Seen at least one person , Aliecat, apply this to a spreadsheet.
Using the Ceaser/Shift or Vig cypher tools online just speeds this up for you.
I too have been waiting for his response. I can’t find it anywhere.
What I do know is that Josh eluded to one person had found the correct answer and the staff of the discord channel canvassed all the responses but could not find which one. So basically it is back to sqaure one of solving it.
Secondly if anybody had actually solved all 12 orbs they most definitely would be seen in game with the cycle and it would have been big news.
I also can’t see them not bragging about how they did and beat the Secret community.

It was claimed in the comments of a Reddit post about Orb 9, I saw it a few days ago. Other than that there’s nothing confirming or denying anything official about it as far as I know.
Still a search would have called up that page and it does not for me. Let me also add that the words used were
Suggesting blizzard made the claim which would have been a blue post and or wowheads/icy veins news article.
You cannot always believe everything you read on the net especially reddit.
I stand by what I said and we all know the community is not that small to not have noticed someone with that particular felcycle.

Someone on the discord community said it has been solved there but they didn’t reference the post so I guess if you want to scroll through all of them…I couldn’t find it.
If you are referring to this one then the answer is yes. One of the @_ Ask Josh was replied that he had seen one person had found the solution to orb 9. However their solution cannot be found.
I recall it as two people had figured it out.
It’s reddit, comment could be pure BS, hence my reluctance to waste time there.

Wonder if someone can assist as orb 8 is annoying me… keep resetting and keep getting 3 locked and never progresses.
So, I have the chart that shows the 7 and the map to work out where the platforms and their number - I understand how it all associates, however
What I would like to know is that if you get the successful magnifying thing above your head, what exactly do you do next -
Are you supposed to click on begin again
Or are you supposed to click on submit?
Or do you not do anything as number of locked checks has supposed to have changed in the description
