Is Blizzard taking the cake with armour designs?

When I got into Wow The armor sets really appealed to me class and raid identity wise both. The pvp sets for horde and alliance where really spot on for their classes and indetity
And It always drove me towards the content to aquire them. BFA was the first expansion in ages that made me feel remotely the same about it as then.

I don’t know why blizzard went with the expansion theme ideaolgy about armor always looking like the theme of their expansion… But it seems allot of people agree with it.

Still, Blizzard did say after BFA that class and faction armor was very popular during BFA if im not mistaken. As well as heritage armor and that there would be more. Just hopefully not seven expansions later I hope…

Well mostly they painted them self into the corner by forcing the armor types back in the day.

I used to love mixing armor types back when there was no transmog so my character would look better and also i really liked having mix of leather cloth and mail on my elemental shaman because that way you could really go ham on creativity.

I wish they would just go F it with the arbitrary armor type crap and let us transmog how we want our characters to look at.

With restrictions gone then they could really go nuts on creativity them self too when designing stuff.

Every hunter set to me looks like a discount shaman/druid set there is literally zero sets for hunters that makes the class look like a hunter most of the time they make hunter set look like someone is butchered a animal and starts to do some druidic ritual.

Or in some cases they make hunter sets look like either Optimus prime or 60’s acid trip.
