Is Ion Hazzikostas Destorying the WoW story/legacy

It does not matter we can at last leave BfA behind us.

There’s a huge bias towards the lich king among the hardcore fans. Mainly because W3.

No surprise they were upset when sylvannas destroyed the helmet… /shrug

But stories have to move forward, so…

So people believe that they entered a portal to N’zoth’s realm, master of corruption and decieve and killed him with their punny raid.
Okay…

You killed what he wanted you to kill.

No. Ion is not a writer.

No, Ion is not in charge of the story.

And even the people that are, arent deciding solo on what the story needs and where it goes.

Not really, Ion is an ancient greek name. John is christian AKA alot after that name first came up xD

https ://en.wikipedia. org/wiki/Ion_(name)

I have never heard of anyone in the modern times having that name though.

Ion and his team suck really badly. Story sucks unless you are horde. Idiots always support other idiots.

Oh trust me, there are way more weird Greek names than this.
Example Pegassius, male name. I have family member named after this name, first time heard this name at 35 lol

Shoosh toxic gnome.

Story sucked unless youre alliance 15 years now.
Get ready for more, SIEGE OF STORMWIND IS COMING.
Siegeing orgr and dazar alor did not suck right gnome?

Agreed, where are the devs with true, red-blooded American names.

Like Crazy Horse, Sitting Bull, Sacagawea, Geronimo or Squanto?

These names are usually rare cause most parents feel forced to name their 2-4 children after grandparents.
When I was little I did knew of a girl named Melisandra.

How can you say John Smith is an american? Might aswell be UK imigrant.

Well the dominant culture in the NA was of UK origin so it is probably natural to expect that.

I like Ion, especially his stance on high elves. one of the best imo

Its more like…Tradition and not forcing.
More like honoring their ancestors

Amazing name honestly. First time came across it.
Im really sick and tired of nick’s john’s max’s etc xD

Except the baguettes who also had their lot.

But doesnt this means americans dont exist and they are actually just bunch of UK imigrants?

The concept of blood purity and being some original resident is a really outdated thing tbh

In Greece after the war of independence when they had to define “Who is a Greek now?”, they decided to go with “Someone who has recieved education in the greek culture, speaks the language and shares the same faith”.

So I bet it is the same for the Americans one way or the other. It is about embracing a common culture that helps people define themselves for where they belong to now. “When in Rome do as the Romans do”

This is also partially the problem in modern times with modern immigrants who reject the culture of the destination country.

Well said. You seem like an educated guy. Could have catch a glimpse of satire in my posts tho.

I agree with what you write which further proves my point. Stating Ion has “non american name” is bunch of bs.

I love your writing style, but I think you need to see the bigger picture.

All this butchering of the storyline is merely just a push to deliver expansions and therefore ‘systems’ (M+, Weekly Chests, Azerite, Grind Dynamics) to the player base.

Each system is a money making catalyst wrapped up in a unique story that keeps a certain percentage of the player base satisfied and fee paying expansion to expansion.

At this point, story has been 1) Truncated and 2) Accelerated to meet this ‘revenue dynamic’ before something better comes along and completely a) removes the player base, or b) the player base dies out.

The lifespan of World of Warcraft is not infinite, neither is that of its developers, they aren’t getting any younger and revenue always comes first, no matter what anyone says, these are the hard facts of business, trust me.

I’ve been playing for that long. And I like the story just fine.
It’s not masterpiece writing, but Warcraft never was.
