Is there a way to "ignore" or "mute" other forumers?

almost impossible actually. If i were to say elephant to you, would you think of a mouse?
If i see a reply and its hidden, i wonder whats in it and will it end up with me being given 1000 euro for opening it … you never know til you look. Even if you dont look, you still have to see their damned name.
im with kaloyan on the massively irritating weakelf chap, id love to never see the name ever again or its alts.

The ignore function should remove all postings from that account, it doesnt even come close to doing that so it does need to be fixed … but, as state above, i dont think blizz ever will because they dont want you to have the option to completely block their shills.

There wouldn’t be a need for this if Blizzard (permanently) banned people actively trying to invoke flame wars.

There are a lot of people that skirt their ways around the rules to harass others, make roundabout offensive statements of your person and quite often there is an entire group of people like this hunting others on the forums.

Their method is dissecting your post, quoting a single line, while completely misinterpreting it’s intent to try and lure you out.

… and when you do bite that’s when they start giving each other likes and boot licking each other’s efforts in getting another person angry.

There are no moderators on this forum, it’s just a free-for-all on who can be the most offensive within the rules.

Case in point the person below my previous post is one of the typical harassers that harasses you cross-threads, checking your alts on that PvP site or checking your profile on WoW Armory based on your pets to press on harassing.

But its fine for you to give others harrasment like me and Vulpie then bury his posts on multi chars like you have done.

Didnt need to check arena or wowhead your posting style is a massive give away

You mean like this post

Which you replied to the owner off . I like you Brewna you are a decent and honest poster but that little Vulp you replied to has been doing and saying some rather not nice things on multi alts the last week.

This is the first and last time I’m going to ask:
Can you stop harassing me?

That means:
Stop tagging me
Stop talking about me
Stop going off-topic to call me out

I am not just pointing what a massive hypocrit you are and dishonest.

Stop accusing me of having a forum discord.
Stop talking about me on multi alts.
Stop going off topic to call others out on alts.

You see how the above works and please do not threaten me again thanks watch your own actions before trying to harrass others i mean it is rather creepy you keep changing to alts to flame bait about me then accuse others of doing same to you so ironic and not very pleasent.

Maybe if you stuck to one char and had the courage of a adult man to back your convictions instead of alt swapping and telling blatant lies about people like you have been.

The pot calling the kettle black.

What are you going to do? Harass me? Oh wait, you’re already doing that.

You could also be an adult, stop responding to me and not bothering me cross-threads but here we are.

But you are doing that on multi alts not me i am just defending myself agiasnt your dishonest posts.
Practice what you ask, each and every time you post to me or about me i will respond its the polite and adult thing to do.

Thats all i am going to say to you so please dont answer me back or make snide comments in other threads about me again thanks and

Is exactly what you have done to me and Vulpie enough said.

even if you ignore premanently you still see topic subject on the main page. threads from 2019 from a spammer and his buddies /necroing/bumping it while mods afk

It goes on trust levels as far as i know the higher the trust level the longer the ignore which seems very weird because if you want to ignore somebody it should be up to you not the system.

I prefer to pretend that random persons from the internet that I dislike do not exist. I do not want that the forum reminds me of their existence by showing their names and opinions. In fact, most of the time I ignore someone it happens that months later when I see their name on a ignore list I no longer remember why I have ignored that person in the first place. Of course, that does not mean I will remove the ignore if that happens. This means the ignore has served its purpose, it has allowed me to pretend that person doesn’t exist until the point I have forgotten his own existence, so I keep him/her on ignore list to continue ignoring the person I do not remember because I wanted to forget about him/her, I usually trust my own judgment and assume everyone on my ignore list deserve that place even after being forgotten.

I asked somebody if he could figure a way to do it with an adblocker, he gave me the following code:

forums.blizzard.com##td.creator > a[href$="u/NAME-REALM"]:upward(tr.topic-list-item)

In Ublock Origin go to My Filters, copy that line and add the name followed by realm, which you can find in the URL if you visit their profile.

For example:
User profile: https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/u/Test-argent-dawn

Code you copy paste in Ublock:
forums.blizzard.com##td.creator > a[href$="u/test-argent-dawn"]:upward(tr.topic-list-item)

NOTE: It’s possible this only works if you type in the username+realm in lowercase

You need a separate line per person you want to block from the thread list.

EDIT: If you want to hide replies from people you ignored add the following code to Ublock:
forums.blizzard.com##div.gap

You can even take it a step further by blocking quoted portions from showing up in other people’s replies to them:
forums.blizzard.com##.no-group.quote:has-text(/NAME/)

So you will see no more threads created by them and you won’t see “Show hidden replies” either.

Forever is the way to go

Clearly the ignore function wasn’t made for nothing and lost on that case ! Glad we’ve got an exemple in a dedicated thread.

Nah, she’s just to be blamed for everything bad, whether it’s her fault or not.

Judging from how they manage their other IPs, Microsoft is less lenient than Blizzard with people like you so that seems like a bad thing to wait for.

All this nonsense could so easily be avoided if people would truly ignore eachother. Not that I’m a saint either but naming/shaming and personal insults gets you flagged pretty quick regardless of who it’s about.
