aye, that was my thinking. i found something called a “paysafe card” a few years back, which i have used for GW2 purchases, but it is not widely accepted so is a bit meh. also, you better pray you dont lose the code xD
Also would like to add Paypal is also an option because i heard from other PayPal users it’s the most secure payment method don’t know myself if it’s true or not since i don’t have a PayPal.
Is you use a virtual card to add money to paypal and buy stuff with paypal, i think that is the most “safe”.
Cause you will have your bank protection and PayPal protection.
if nothing else comes of this (cause lets be honest, blizz wont change their pricing decisions over the last 5 months) your reply has been a gold mine! ty
aye, i have used paypal for other things in the past, and the staff have been very helpful when things have gone wrong. (not on paypals side, on the sells sides). still not sure i would want blizzard connected to my paypal. call me tinfoil hat but their attitude and direction just stinks in recent years
also like you said above, about the guarantee, its not iron clad. i had a mobile phone contract with a T-Mobile shortly after TBC came out. i remember that one of their staff stole a load of customer data and sold it on the black market. i got spam calls for years afterwards thanks to that
just cause something is illegal, doesn’t mean people wont still break the law
got a call a couple of weeks ago on an emergency lift alarm from a cold caller in India.
i tried to say to him this is an emergency line in case people are trapped. he just started sprouting off profanity saying f your queen and f you, and cause its a landline, i couldn’t just hang up because he kept the line open on his end.
i dont mean to be mean, but you would think people working in call centers in India would understand how important emergency contact lines are considering its not uncommon for call centers in India to collapse because of bad infrastructure.
but imo, anyone who cold calls to scam people are just scum.
