i have always bought them from a shop, so there is no delay from when i decide to play, and when i can actually get to play.
possibly, especially for the £19.98 ones now that 2 months cost £19.99. but i’ve NEVER seen a £40 one before, so i cant help but think they are new?
i dont use a CC for anything. i buy them from the store with cash. i dont want to risk any overspend/oversight resulting in a debt that punishes me. its never been a problem for 15 years. i dont see why it needs to be an issue now when wow is probably not going to be kept going more than another 7 years? however much we like the game, it does have some hard restrictions due to its age, which will show more and more over time.
thats subjective. as i’ve said elsewhere in this thread, if you play for the full 6 or 3 months, you WILL make a saving. but more people are taking more frequent breaks, or they want to. i for example have not played for the last 5-6 days or so. so, if my sub had run out a week ago, i would have wasted 1/4 of a months sub where i could have chosen to wait until tonight in the past.
yeah, dont waste your time on the post 2014 Star Wars films (disney). Star Wars ended in 2014 with the removal of the expanded universe.
episode 7, 8 & 9 were all rubbish and not worth yours or anyones time.
Solo and Rogue one were ok as sci-fi films, but maybe im giving Rogue One too much credit due to the end scene in the corridor.
the bigger problem is that Rogue One was already explained in the PC game (and books) Dark Forces, and due to the changes made by Disney, the protagonist of those events (and later star wars events in general) Kyle Katarn was erased.
the same problem is in Solo with Han Solo’s younger years explained in the 1997 second Solo trilogy of “The Paradise Snare”, “The Hutt Gambit” and “Rebel Dawn”. the first Solo trilogy (The Han Solo Advantures 1979) focus more on his years shortly before A New Hope and are from a time when the Star Wars expanded universe was FAR more muddled (see “Splinter of the Minds Eye”!)
You’re not missing anything by not watching anything Disney provide to the Star Wars name. even the Mandalorian, while i enjoyed it more than anything else Disney has produced, anything to do with Boba Fett is a re-write of already covered events in “The Bounty Hunter Wars” trilogy of “The Mandalorian Armor”, “Slave Ship” & “Hard Merchandise” which while telling of events in the past, also tell of the present, which is just after Return of the Jedi and how Boba Fett escaped the sarlacc and survived.
Having said that, a lot of Boba Fett’s past and origin was probably destroyed by the Clone Wars. off the top of my head, Boba Fett was originally some sort of soldier/police officer called Jaster Mereel. a quick google is only giving me stuff involving Jango (aka post Episode 2) so it may have been retconned for Boba and Jaster to be 2 different people, cause Jasters current bio (law keeper from Concord Dawn) is too close to what i remember at the end of the 90’s being Boba’s history, ie. that Boba used to be called Jaster Mereel from Concord Dawn and was some sort of peacekeeper.
I had known about parsecs being units of length rather than time due to Han Solo using the Maw during a kessel run, so these events must have been either in one of the 6 Han Solo books, or in one of the many Star Wars encyclopedias, so Disney’s Solo explanation is just old news there.
EDIT: yeah, for anyone interested, just found that Jaster Mereel was first introduced in the 1996 short story: “The Last One Standing: The Tale of Boba Fett”, and IS Boba Fett. So Jaster Mereel was retconned out to not be a young Boba, as this would show that Boba Fett was not a clone.
possibly. i am in a bit or a
town so supply is far from great. though i would not blame TBC. i doubt there are enough WoW players in this town to use up all the cards from 4 shops. in GAME there were maybe about a few dozen of the £40 cards, but not one of the £19.98 ones.
