for island expedition there should only be a solo queue or 3 man queue.
there is no roles to fulfill and the “me and my pal” argument is irrelevant. as much as long queue times argument is not applicable.
I Insta leave islands with people from same guild and play 30 mins on another char cause I have read what people do here and I am not interested in masochism.
I don’t think he wrote he got kicked by randoms 3 times in a row for being bad.
given the toxicity and judgemental nature of “me and my pal” group it’s quite possible he was kicked just to grief/deny him smth.
or when he refused to give his loot to one of the “pals”.
there is no reason to believe two guys with 0 responsibly and ability to grief someone won’t do it in a modern triggered society.
Thing is in dungeons if 2 friends sign up they need the other 2 to agree with them to kick person if one does and the other doesnt the vote doesnt go through .
There is no reason to exclude people from grouping up. Whilst I have done an awful lot of island expeditions solo, it is by far easier and faster to do them with friends/guildies.
You want to hinder people being able to queue up. The onus is not on me, it’s on you. I’m very happy with the current system that does not hinder anyone being able to go and do any of the group content (via the random matchmacking system). One of the reasons I like it is because it does not discriminate against anyone. So if you are playing with a friend you are welcome, if you are playing alone you are welcome. Everyone is welcome.
If you are having so many problems behaving while grouped with others then you queue up in a premade.
You can’t make any change to prevent abuse, if someone wants to abuse it, they’ll find a way, the system as it is now, is fine. Only alternative is replacing matchmaking with people using group finder or spamming trade chat, or general.
If you’re getting kicked on a regular basis, my suggestion is for you to take a look at the way you’re acting and what you’re saying. People don’t kick you for no reason whatsoever.
I don’t remember last time I was kicked from anything, you really should take a look at your own actions, I only remember getting kicked from mythic+ group before we started as they probably wanted their friend instead.
that’s so naive and out of touch with reality if you think two friends judge random as fair as themself.
but it must feel right and very smart to suggest people to blame themselfs for not being able to combat abusive system.
I am not gonna continue this debate, clearly you guys argue for the sake of arguing. You can keep your feeling of being right and I stick to avoid a potential abusive parties.
And there is no malicious intent in the majority of random groups. It’s a myth perpetuated by a minority of players who are on the receiving end of kicks they don’t feel they deserve.
Out of 156 IEs I have been kicked from one and that was because they kept over pulling and killing us (earlier on when we weren’t as well geared), so I went off on my own. They didn’t like it and kicked me. I don’t have a problem with them kicking me. I don’t think it’s a great conspiracy by friends or guildies. It was purely that I didn’t want to group up with them because they were doing stupid pulls and they didn’t want me going off on my own. So they got a new team mate, I got a deserter buff and went off to do other things. On that occasion I just logged and made dinner instead.
I could say don’t waste your time trying to get Blizzard to do things to the random queue that they are never going to implement. It is random. If you don’t like random, do it with non randoms.
