Get really mad about the depiction Isildur in the movies, one of the few instances where Peter Jackson slipped up honestly. I get that they wanted to make a shift in Aragornâs narrative and have Viggo Mortensen depict the âunwilling heroâ trope, but the Isildur of Tolkienâs writing was supremely virtuous and strong of will.
He was never taken to Mt Doom by Elrond and had taken the One Ring with the intention of mastering it for the good of his kingdoms (since heâd become the High King of Arnor & Gondor following Elendilâs death at the hands of Sauron). Rather than ruling both, he followed his fatherâs tradition and named his nephew as the King of Gondor, proving that the Ring didnât change his ultimately virtuous nature into one of greed/tyranny.
After a time with the Ring he realised that he didnât have the will to truly take possession of it. When he died he was actually travelling to Rivendell with the intention of passing the Ring onto Elrond, or at least seeking his counsel on what exactly to do with it. Isildur almost refused to flee the orcish ambush on his caravan, only doing so when his son Elendur begged him to get the Ring away from the bad guys.
The Ring betrayed him because it couldnât control him. The dude was about to willingly give it away which would, given Elrondâs opinion on the object, likely end in its much earlier destruction.

Nope, pointed out another AD moment and the morally bankrupt decided to try desperately avert the attention to me as always to cover up for their buddies horrific jokes/takes/comments.
But ofc, people will defend their buddies when making incredibly offensive comments and awful takes, your all as bad as eachother in that sense.

Funny how only a few of you are âallowedâ to call out your disgusting buddies, but when I say something you all foam at the mouth, claiming me to be more transphobic than the people you defend against me lmao, the people who make pronoun jokes, youd defend someone misgendering aslong as I was disagreing with it.

Iâm accusing him of being transphobic because he literally said that transmen are a âjokeâ and will always be weaker because of what they used to be, and transwomens only reason for ever transition even outside of sport is to secretly beat up women.

I was debating whether or not to step into this thread again, but against my better judgement, Iâm going to.
Sig. Woebloomâs post was in poor taste, even if I get the point she was trying to convey, and she has been properly told off for it. But that is all there is to it, and you shouldnât try and make this into more than it is.
And honestly mate, you should not start to wildly accuse people of all manner of things without proof, it makes you look incredibly bad. I know you dont like the majority on these forums, and they donât like you either, but you still should not accuse them of all these heinous things without proof. Calling people transphobe, jade witch or whatever just makes the terms lose their meaning.
Further, I think trying to discredit what happened to members of Valleyâs family during WW2 is extremely distasteful, to put it mildly. I dont know Valley all too well, in fact, I dont know him at all as I have never spoken nor rpâed with him as far as I can recall, but I sincerely doubt he would make a story like that up. I honestly think you should at the very least apologise for that.
And last, but not least, but Sig, please try and structure your posts more. Use more commas, dots and paragraphs, because you tend to type large walls of text that I honestly have a hard time to read. I think youâll find you can get your points across better if people can easier read your texts. ( Ofcourse the contents of the text and how good or bad they are, are an entirely different matter.)
