Just remove preseason*

Does anyone actually like just waiting for no reason to play the game instead of just getting the content?

Well this is random

Not much really. If blizz wants people to complete the campaign before they dive into M+ or raids, they can just make it an attunement to unlock them. Other than that the only thing that happens on prepatch week are rep exploits and people grinding away their sanity trying to find something to do now that they’ve subbed.

The pre-patch is there to fill in the drought. If pre-patch was removed you wouldn’t be getting the new expansion quicker, you would be playing the previous patch longer.

Wait are talking about pre-patch or pre-season? We are in pre-season now, pre-patch is the little patch we get before expansions.

I’ve been doing the new zone for the past 2 days, and occasionally PvPing to test out some of the changes made to other classes.

Pre-patch is healthy, and it allows people to soak up the new zone/content without having to worry about rushing through it just so they can get setup for raiding/rated PvP.

It also gives Blizzard a week to balance any severe outlying issues that could affect rated PvP and competitive content like Mythic plus or World First raiding.

Just release mythic raid 1 week later. Also easier for mythic racers

I think they mistook it for the pre-season, they mean the little week before Season 3.

This pre season is kinda meh. But in general I love to get some background why I enter the raid.

Tbf I’ve expected an marvelous zone like zereth mortis. Sadly I was disappointed :disappointed:

… I miss pocopo, mount forge, all the treasures and nice open world tier set effects. The dream is more like a nightmare

Ok fair enough.

So about pre-season week, idk. Makes sence for expansion releases, but patch zones don’t really have a weeks worth of content in them, hell they don’t really have a days worth in them.

To be fair, there are so many bugs right now, I kind of see why the PvP/M+ seasons don’t start immediately.
Same with balance issues. I guess this one week on live servers can be used to prevent any bug abuse or other issues linked to the release of a new patch.

agree remove preseason and let just play what we want

As a world content player: I just got a big part of my content. So I’m fine with it.

Also as a world content player: I’m capped on whelpling and drake crests for the week. I’ve done all the weeklies. What am I supposed to do now? There’s still only 1-2 days worth of content in world content per week - well, content that actually feels worthwhile anyway.

But… From a storyline/immersion perspective I get why they do it. It would feel weird to jump into a raid straight away, for instance. The way it is now, you can do the story at your leisure throughout the week and soak in the new zone a bit. Then you can go back to your hamsterwheel.

I just want challenging content. I’m bored oneshotting everything. If world content was hard and I got good gear from it, I wouldn’t mind as much. As of now tho, I do the story/side quests, which are done in one sitting at night, and then there is no content anymore outside of these weird hamster wheel chores like world quests as you describe it

Depends on what you mean. I’d hate for quests, storylines and outdoor WQs, events and whatnot to be hard. It would suck. No matter what it would reward.

They’re not more hamsterwheel than running the same dungeons week in week out. Or the same raids week in week out. Or do the same arenas over and over. Etc.

it’s good to get your alts ready for the season otherwise you spend a few weeks trying to reach to the m+ level and by that time , most people become overgeared and they don’t invite anyone trying to progress through lower keys. m+ players can survive without playing for a week i don’t understand why people complain about it this much. if you really hate other aspects of the game then don’t play it for aweek take a small break. you can do this i believe in you

I like the campaign, and I like the concept of world content, but it’s so mind numbingly easy that I just get bored. I just approach an elite mob and it dies immediately. It’s not fun like this at all, and the gear I get is very low

first week of new seasons is a transition process in which bugs can be fixed or overperforming classes can get nerfed, poorly performing ones can get buffed.

My suggestion is don’t be an impatient brat and show patience for a week because it is actually a necessary timeperiod that we need to go through for a healthier new season.

yes but when it drops actually useful gear people start crying about how hard it is and how bad alternative power is . they bullied blizzard into making easy content with zero good rewards we can’t blame the company for this.

Pre-season is to do the story and more importantly give returning people a short time to catch-up or for others to reroll or catchup alts.

I can see that it sucks for people that dont need any of these.

But it is what it is and atleast its not a bad thing overall.
