Kicked for going AFK on 10-15sec

Communication or community is your solution.
You can't expect people knowing or even caring about you having to care for a handicapped brother that makes you afk frequently or long.

Btw, don't say 'for 10 seconds' because I'm pretty sure the majority of the times you get kicked is not for a one or two time 10 second break here and there.

Just tell beforehand it can happen and if you still are having problems join an understanding guild/community.
Never say you are going afk, ever!
How are they supposed to know your life story?
You should make a macro with a message explaining your situation so people can at least understand your reasoning for being afk all the time.

if you brb 10-15 seconds u dont have to say brb really

Sadly it happens weather i say it or not cuz they see me standing there in 1 place and go ''oh look at this leech'' dunno if theres a way to report these kind of crime against morale? :P Does this happen to everyone?

turn on autorun and walk into a wall. then, when you come back, say "sry lagspike"

usually works for me

EDIT: also if you have alliance toons you want to play, send me a /w. i have like 873908235 things to do irl so i constantly need to go afk too, i can sympathise. we can group up and be afk together

don't say brb, just do it and blame a lag spike when you come back.

Such an amateur. Real G's do this in the middle of a boss fight "oh snap I got DC'd".

@OP : Some people are just like that in PUGs, there isn't much you can do. Joining a guild you get to know and who also gets to know you would definitely help.
You can actually look for a group manually as well - just not as much quality of life laziness :D
"!@#$, someones at my door brb!"

i've never been kicked for that xD
Dont say brb and put follow on

Or just put auto run on :D i do this in bgs when i have to pee

This has happened to me so many times lately and it's just sad and frustrating. I have a handicapped bro to take care of and he often needs me to pass him a drink etc.

I understand Raid/Dungeon kicks since it's not rly a good idea to go afk mid boss fight, but when you play an island expedition on heroic diff or other less relevant stuff and do more than others in your group, just to get kicked cuz you said ''brb'' and went afk for 15 bloody seconds is very frustrating and is ruining the game for me. This didnt happen before when ppl actually had to talk to get some group content done, now its just solo group and noone cares about anyone, it feels like WoW has become a solo multiplayer game. I honestly dont know what to do about these random kicks from ppl that dont read the chat or think that being afk for 15 seconds in an already won island expedition deserves a death penalty...

It's not a solo player game, and that's your problem. You play it as if it is: As if your sudden afks don't impact others, and as if there aren't people around who you can be understanding and accepting of your situation if only you explain it.
Sounds about Gaz.

I wouldn't be surprised if they had a brother named Dib who's obsessed with anything paranormal.

I mean, in the comic they says that she plays a game named World of Blorchcraft. Did I even get the name right?
Well firstly if you just put BRB no one else has a clue what your personal situation is, secondly islands are timed events, they last about 10-15 mins max so if your AFK for really 10-15 seconds its bit harsh but doesn`t really need a BRB from you for 10-15secs, if its more like 1 to 2 mins then its not really fair on the group for you to AFK for that amount of time without prior agreement, as that’s probably the difference between a win and lose, depending on what AI team your up against but 2 mins out of a 10 min event is 20% afk, if you did a 20% AFK in a dungeon or raid i`m sure you would also get kicked.

No, the REAL OG'S do it before the Zul mobs in the raid. They're the real MVP's

People you q with don't know you have a handicapped brother, but also as much as it's frustrating for you there are certain roles in game that can't really afford to brb at random, like healers or tanks, particularly in amongst fights or pulls.

When you just say brb in an Island, people think you're just trying to generally be lazy. They have no idea what's really going on and assume the worst, that is unfortunate but also a reality is a lot of people make up stuff in game so they can get it (what ever the content may be) done for them. It's human nature sadly.

Seemingly best advice, this way it looks like you may have lagged out and generally people don't jump up to kick right away, they give it a few moments.
put follow on someone before you go for a slash and dont tell anyone
