Kosh’arg is something everyone looks forward to. So excited to try more this year!
Looking forward to running a stall later: feel free to drop by for trinkets, ritual offerings and ‘traditional’ festival clothing!
IIIIIIIIIIIIT’S KOSH’HARG TIME!!!
To kick-start a week of awesome orc-y fun times, the events for tonight are as follows:-
20:00: Opening Speech - The Elders of Clan Red Blade always bear the responsibility of officially opening the Kosh’harg, and this time is no different!
20:30: Opening Ritual - The spirits will be called upon to bear witness of the beginning of a festival of peace, and to be asked for their blessing!
20:45 onwards: The Great Market - Come one and all to see the myriad of wares and services offered by vendors from all over the world!
Please note: If you would like to have a stall at the market, you can! Just pick a spot and try not to muscle in on another vendor’s space!
We look forward to seeing you all tonight! Happy Kosh’harg!
Today’s the day!!
Forget brewfest, it’s ORCFEST!!
Hello hello! It is I, your resident loudmouth here to say a big thank you to everyone who came yesterday for the opening speech, ceremony and market! I think that’s the biggest crowd I’ve seen yet, and we’ve only just begun!
And without further ado, what events do we have in store for you tonight?! Read on!
20:00 - The Na-Grand Marathon - How’s that stamina of yours? Think you got what it takes to pit yourself against other racers to take a swift tour around Nagrand? Only one way to find out! Meet Tramur Stonestrike at the Western Garadar Gates to sign up!
22:00 - The Great Wolf Race - It’s the day for races, and why should we two-feet have all the fun?! Make a wolfy friend and race with them! May the best rider and wolf win! Meet Dragush Snowstrider at the Eastern Garadar Gates to sign up!
Whew! It’s going to be a great evening, folks! Looking forward to seeing you all tonight!
Happy Kosh’harg!
Kosh’Harg is always fantastic good fun for orcs and non-orcs alike - I can thoroughly recommend it to anyone who’s curious about orc RP. Come and meet AD’s oldest-running orc guild - a thoroughly decent and friendly group of folk with a knack for putting on one of the best-attended Horde events twice a year!
A very good if late evening to you all! I return to announce the winners of tonight’s races!
For the Na-Grand Marathon, the winners are as follows!
And for the Great Wolf Race, the winners are as follows!
Congratulations to our amazing winners, and thank you to everyone who took part!
I had a blast yesterday with my marathon, and I hope everyone else who participated in it did as well! Certainly doing it again!
MOK’RA!
Two days down and we are so very happy everyone is enjoying themselves! What a fantastic turn out so far!
But wait… There’s more! See the following of what to expect tonight!
20:00: Om’riggor. A sacred rite of passage into adulthood, where orcs are sent out into the wilds with naught but the clothes on their back and one weapon of choice to hunt and slay a prey of their choosing, and bring back both a trophy and a story of their hunt to earn an honour name.
20:30: Fishing Contest! Take some time to catch some fish, enjoy the weather, muse on life in general…AND GET MORE FISH THAN ANYONE ELSE!!!
Note: The Om’riggor is for orcs only, but all are welcome to come and hear the stories these orcs have to tell of their hunt, and to witness a milestone achievement in their lives.
For the orcs seeking to do their Om’riggor, please notify Verzan or Rykana if you have a specific name you want your orc to earn. We generally choose names, but we’re happy to accommodate!
Thank you, and have a fantastic day!
Happy Kosh’harg!
Time to test your skills and earn your name young orcs! its Kosh’harg Om’riggor Night!
Gooooooooood MORNING Argent Dawn!
We are at the halfway point of Kosh’harg, and it’s gone by so quickly it feels like we only just did the opening speech yesterday! I hope you’re all having as much fun as I am!
I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who attended the Om’riggor last night - either as a spectator or as a hunter! It was wonderful to hear all the hunters’ stories and name them!
But now it is time to announce tonight’s events, and they are as follows:-
20:00: Stories Of The Past - Come, take a place by the fire with me and share a tale of the past, of your ancestors, of a poignant moment in your life. Storytelling is part of the backbone of every culture, as old as time. We will continue this tradition by sharing tales and singing songs! Meet at the main bonfire in Garadar!
22:00: Ritual of the Dead - For generations, the shaman have made pilgrimages to Oshu’gun to honour the spirits of those long gone. Now we will follow in their footsteps in our own pilgrimage to honour our ancestors.
22:00 - The Unclean Pyre - Though entering Oshu’gun is for orcs only, we welcome all races to travel the path with us. Enrah will guide non-orcs through a ritual of their own to honour those long lost.
Please meet at the Western Garadar Gates for the pilgrimage, and remember to bring some offerings!
Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you all tonight! Happy Kosh’harg!
Time to go! And be very somber orcs
It’s me again!
We would like to take a moment to thank all the contestants who took part in the fishing contest last night! Well done to you all!
The winners are:-
Congratulations to our winners! (Now get cooking, those fish can’t just go to waste!)
Fantastic night tonight - the Oshu’gun pilgrimage is always a very special part of Kosh’Harg.
A special thank you to everyone who came tonight! It was wonderful to see everyone gather and share stories - and what amazing stories they were! We were also happy to see so many of you join us in the Pilgrimage, orcs and non-orcs alike!
We would like to remind people however that this is a festival of peace, not a festival of smacktalk! If you’ve nothing nice to say about someone actively taking part in one of our many wonderful events, it is better to say nothing at all!
Thank you, have a wonderful night and check back in the morning for the next update!
For the orcs who were there tonight but didn’t have Musician, this is what Mishukha played during the ceremony inside Oshu’gun: h t t p s :// soundcloud . com/arkadyrose/oshugun (take out the spaces)
Hello hello! GUESS WHAT DAY IT IS?!?!
We’ve had it pretty chill so far this week, but this ends now as we get into the nitty gritty of what it means to be orc! Or orc admirer. We really don’t judge - we know we’re great.
Tonight’s events are as follows:-
20:00: Archery Contest - Held by the Skywise sisters, this is a contest open to both the skilled and the initiate! May the best archer’s arrows fly true! (NOTE: Please sign up beforehand where possible so that we can start the event promptly!)
21:00: Iron Fortitude - IT’S BACK! Five challenges, five tests of strength, stamina and agility, and five chances to show your might! Who will be the Champion of the Iron Fortitude this autumn?! Find out tonight! Meet at the Western gates of Garadar!
22:00: Drinking Contest - Don’t think your stomach gets to worm its way out of its own workout so to speak! We will drink like ORCS! We will embarrass ourselves like ORCS! And we will pass out like ORCS! Or tauren, if you’re a tad confused. No judgement.
We look forward to seeing you all tonight! Happy Kosh’harg!
