I watched a video of a Ret paladin getting gladiator on a Xbox controller too.
Practice makes perfect.

You can go LB+O for example, like shift+1 works on keyboard
Congratulations are certainly in order. I dabbled in controller support back in WoD, when I couldn’t play properly due to a shoulder injury. It’s fantastic to see that you achieved something great with it.
You should try it again, with the “/console GamePadEnable <1/0>” macro you will no longer have an issue with moving sideways or backwards, you will instantly turn and move forward in the desired direction as well as being able to move the camera with the joystick.
Well done!
Next: KSM with the Kinect?
Yeah that’s the setup, I have the pulse red and also have the Forza 5 pink and orange controller. The wireless dongle allows me to kick back in the armchair and play WoW comfortably.
Install the ConsolePort add-on and give it a try, my biggest tip is to bake in target macros to every ability to make it feel amazing!
Thanks everyone for the congrats and positivity
Next challenge:
That’s pretty impressive!
Next step, do it on a Steam Deck. I mean I really see no reason it wouldn’t be possible given this is and that the game works on Linux.
Good job. Blizzard should add controller support. Let those who want to play this way have the option. Looks like it is possible.
The engine has full support for moving around with joysticks and all the rest of it, and they help the console port authors out tremendously. Originally those guys were using a 3rd party program to transform inputs, which was against the rules but Blizzard allowed it anyway, and then they slowly worked on improving and putting their features into the engine.
If you want console controls just install ConsolePort. It works great and I would argue it’s officially supported.
GeeZee OP
Thanks alot folks and Ishayo your right it was great they added official controller support in SL and ConsolePort adds a lot of features to make it even more possible.
I made a little tutorial if anyone needs help, explaining how I set it up. Targeting, crosshair and Macros etc.
