I will say I’m also confused why you gotta harpoon them in anyway, since you’re going to get the same loot if you just kill it, right?
I guess I’m not fishing in as populated places (or not in raids), so I haven’t run into the issue of them dying too fast yet, though I think giving them more HP wouldn’t hurt either, as long as they insta-die when you pull them out of water. Makes more sense and is more immersive, imo.
This is about efficiency in spawning them when people are working together.
More people looting means more Conchs being looted which means even more Lunkers get summoned. It becomes sustainable fishing
If people do it only with harpoons then an infinite amount of people can tag each Large Lunker.
If someone decides to attack the lunker then almost everyone is excluded from the loot because you cannot tag a 80k hp mob with as many people
The problem is the harpoon doesn’t tag them until they’re pulled onto the ground. Plus the people who kill them in the water could have the common sense to simply tag them instead of killing.
Then once they’re on the shore everyone can loot them without having to swim all over the place since they spawn at random locations.
That’s not the issue. If the fish dies in a random spot in the water, everyone has to swim to it, then to the shore, spawn another one, and swim again. Just because 1-2 people kill it in the water.
Just increase the HP to 5 million or something. Once it’s on the shore it dies instantly anyway.
This whole day and yesterday people are abusing the lunker spots and whole raidgroups by attacking the lunkers, so not a single other person which is harpooning gets loot any more.
This is hardcore griefing for 40 people and just a time waste. We need to fix that dilemma by banning griefing players (sabotage of gameplay) or fix the coin loot rules. Otherwise this whole activity is dead.
