We have just had an expansion with one of the major selling points being cosmetic character customization, and they have missed the mark by a long short.
For years, Nightborne have been asking for narrowed eyes, chin jewellery (without being linked to the heritage robe), hell just add all the NPC Nightborne features and weapons/armor to the game somehow.
Even something as simple as giving Human Males long beards has been missed.
We knew Blizzard doesn’t listen to player feedback, Shadowlands has been a grand display of their ignorance.
iirc blizzard did confirm that they will continue with character customization because of how well it recieved, “core” races got it first since they were outdated even then some of them got more love than others, it seems logical that they will continue work on it with the patches, like heck allied races in general lack so much in that department and we all worked hard on them
if blizzard won’t add any customization in the end they will just lose subscribers which i assume they don’t want and if they do add customization it will encourage people to grind allied races which equals more gametime
everyone wins in this situation so i don’t see why not continue with adding more
customization, unless blizzard really blind
I can assure you that people were/are more hyped for character customizations, than fighting buffed asmongold as final boss and run around pretending to be hero which means yeah, it does make more money
i mean… one of the main reasons i even bought BFA is because one day i saw some nightborne player and i really wanted to make NB char too so i grinded my way to get it, people will be hyped about allied races getting more love and it may return people into the game who knows, point is, yes it will make them more money.
U got baited into buying the expansion bcs of the Allied race as did i. They got their money, they wont do anything now, allied race was a MAJOR selling point which achieved its purpose.
Dont get me wrong im all in it for better quality, its just lazy work what they did, but sadly, like i said they achieved their purpose any further investment at this point is just meh to them.

Yeah,that is really sad, i agree with Vilvert, about them pulling this move just to get us to buy the exp, which reminds me that they’re pulling this with everything,(*Cough,cough Covenants,Torghast) Thats why, i no longer Pre order the game or, buy stuff like the 30th anniversary mount, the mount i think is really cool but they put efffort into something that’d get them instant money than make the game more enjoyable.
Same, i got fooled 2 times with preorder, i enjoyed Legion tho so theres that, eventho the AR were kinda lazy work and the legendary rng a was bad at start, however i kinda dislike SL as a whole how it is atm, so yeah no more preorders from me.
And the store mount… they are so high detail, u farm something for years ingame and dosent come close to the same quality…Good thing im not into collecting mounts.
Honestly, I’m confident that Nightbornes will receive customization updates sometime in the next two patches. Unfortunately I’m not so confident about the other remaining big issues from classic races - especially that those were recently updated (but not fixed)
If they don’t give Allied Race customization to any Allied Races I think I might unsub for a while because nah, Blizzard is not a small, incapable indie company who cannot add at least some customization to a few Allied races.
