EU folks will be heading out for the weekend shortly, but I didn’t want to leave the thread without an update.
Unfortunately we still don’t have a specific timeframe for a fix, but rest assured we’re aware of the impact this is having and are hard at work to get it addressed as quickly as possible.
Please note that there is no need to submit tickets about this, as support won’t be able to assist in individual cases, but rather we’d ask that you continue to keep an eye on existing threads, or the relevant support articles published here:

Jesus christ… i was relieved that i got the legendary drop yesterday so i would be able to get invites to pugs during the weekend… now all this has changed and im just mad now gj.

Imagine being me, taking time off after get the legendary drop, thinking off pushing some M+ in my days of with a legendary axe. Only to now be stuck on this quest for a undetermined amount of time…

Seriously? They’re just leaving for the weekend? Oh well you guys that farmed the lego for 8 weeks can get f’ed and wait another.
WHEN you fix this, you should at least compensate those stuck on the quest of their no volition and just let them progress.

this is the most embarassing case of being aware of such a huge issue. legendary weapon is literally one of the key parts of this season and instead of dropping a quick bandaid fix, like, lets say, just send everyone a token to complete those quests, you just leave the office for the weekend and call it a day.
or maybe… idk, revert the hotfix from yesterday that fixed god know what cause you didn’t even bother to release fix notes for it and then work on fixing the “hotfix”? imagine people buying tokens to unlock legendary and they are getting this lol

Thank you for ruining my weekend. Since Wednesday I planned to do the quest and enjoy the axe. I hope you will credit the quest to the players who killed the bosses in the raid.

a simple fix for blizzard is to track the rares people have killed with the buff then give them the tethercoils from those kills and for the next part of the quest instead of the tether to bosses giving credit in quest mark it down to boss kills till the quest is fixed so that people already on the quest can complete the legendary hope this would help . and i think its unfair peoples weekends are ruined by this blizzard should working on a fix for this as this week horde players have had no npcs spawn for 2 days for love is in the air with no catch up to alliance players in tokens and other problems have occured for both horde and alliance players that have affected players i just hope the gms and staff can be nice and fix this and notify people how they will fix this
i just want to add i ment give the missing coils from those kills in post/mailbox and credit the kills of rares or bosses with the mark as its a quick fix to this while the problem is being fixed . i know the staff work hard at blizzard and i hope they read our thoughts on this and take some action to help us all
I mean why they can’t just rollback to latest version before patch, we can do our quests and they can fix the problem with quest without disturbing anyone and roll-out the patch when all done?
What’s the point of versioning the game if you don’t use that sistem?

Of course, the very week it drops for me, the quest breaks.
But I must respect the amount of balls it takes to be the bringer of bad news while leaving for the weekend. It’s a polite way to spit in my eye at least.

if they roll back they will need to reset and disturb the people while its being patched as some rollbacks take time depending what they are removing or intending on keeping . the best thing they can do is look were the problem is fix it that way then see if a roleback is needed or to fix the code thats broken that cause the bug while issueing a quick fix to help those on the quest
from where u take the indication that nothing well be done over the weekend? Just a polite way from the blue here to give at least a statement before he leaves - not being said that there wont be any stand in and ppl actually working on something. Have some hope instead of hate cursing all over
