Legion Remix PTR Update - 3 Sept

Once again we’d like to thank you, the PTR testers, for your valuable input. You’ve helped us identify issues and improve the feel of Legion Remix.

The initial Skies of Fire (phase 1) tuning has been adjusted to better align with the power fantasy that players expect. This tuning will impact all phases, as players become even more powerful from gear and artifact power over time.

  • Fixed an issue where converting your Timerunner would give insufficiently powerful gear.
  • Fixed several issues where quest progression was blocked due to timeline shenanigans.
  • Fixed several issues with Druid travel forms.
  • Fixed many other miscellaneous issues.

Call me insane but all the remix resources should be put into retail instead.

So nothing to change what most people complained about? It was such an easy win to copy/paste mop:remix over into legion and they still had to shoot themselves in the foot? what is going on?! I cant fathom what made them decide to stay with these changes…

they are either too prideful, too blind or just too stupid to understand it.

They just needed to make it like MoP Remix, but in Legion content…but no, they always need to reinvent the wheel and kill all the fun.

They know exactly what we want despite me mocking them they knew in Legion with the RNG legendaries and they knew in BFA with the corruptions, they knew in SL with the awful covenants and soulbinds, they’ve always known.

They have their idea of what Legion remix should be and they’re going to stick to it knowing full well why we loved Pandaria remix, they just don’t care.

They may throw us some more bones here and there but they won’t give us what we want.

I was very much looking forward to play his after having missed MOPRemix, but without secondary stats I’m not interested at all, the fun of it did seem to be OP and break the game for a limited time event genuine fun, this seems like a small sprinkle of fun and a lot of chores, no thank you.

Anyone can login in PTR? Because I still see the servers like “Incompatible”…

Add secondary stats to the ap weapons, like the mop remix cloak case.

Currently i have no idea how long will it take to farm enough to one could solo a +25 key to get the tmog from it (thats my only concern).

Good to see buffed heroic world tier, will check it out.

Hope the research fixed too.

Limiting secondary stats are plain stupid on my opinion. Also reintrouduce versatility.

Also please elaborate how the current changes reflect this part of the prev. blue post statement:

“and deploying major improvements with a goal of adding speed, power, and fun to the mode. More details to come soon.”

It sounds like they accomplished nothing with the exp and the levelling is a slog.

I haven’t been on yet but I will check later to confirm, a few people on the US forums have reported the levelling still being awful, one guy claimed he did a dungeon at level 13 and got 6 bars which is absurd if true.

I have just tried out the latest changes and the thing is, I really want to love Legion Remix - MoP Remix was the most fun I had in this game in a long time, but I just can’t.
Those changes do not address the core issue of Lemix, you simply do not feel powerful. The leveling, while a tad bit faster, still feels like retail leveling. The stat growth on my weapon is slow and I basically only get Stamina, where are all my other stats Blizz?
The fact that the repeatable Limits Unbound artifact trait doesn’t diminish in its efficacy over the ranks is a step in the right direction, but the amount of stats you get from it are laughable and in reality it should increase in efficacy with every rank (+15% more stats per rank for example)

You do not need to decrease health and dmg of raid bosses and monsters, just give me a stupidly big number of stats. That was the beauty of MoP remix. A time limited event with infinite, stupid scaling. It broke the game but since it was just an event with no effect on retail (except for the transmogs) it did not matter. It was a playground and it was beautiful.

Lemix ist still saveable. Add all the stats you could add to your cloak in MoP remix to your weapon with the infinite Power scaling. Make the limits unbound trait actually increase with its rank. The artifact talent tree itself is a nice fun addition - bit different to the gem abilities we had in MoP, I do like it. Right now with how secondary stats are mainly given through gear and tertiary stats are rng on gear it feels more like gear farming on retail. REMIX SHOULD NOT BE RETAIL OR CLASSIC+.

Please, please, please Blizzard just let us have fun! The fact that you made some of those changes mean you see the feedback and realize people did not like the way it is currently implemented but you changes the wrong things. Do not scale down enemies, give us a way of scaling up everything to ridiculous numbers, and then add a way of scaling everything up so everything just scales to stupidity. I wanna solo +25 keys - give us m+ for raids, heroic or even m+ world level.

Please do not destroy Remix!

Edit: also just a small edit. In remix we could get the spools from raids and world bosses.

Minor Spool of Eternal Thread: +20 stat or +40 Stam
Lesser Spool of Eternal Thread: +50 stat or +100 Stam
Spool of Eternal Thread grants: +100 stat or +200 Stam
Greater Spool of Eternal Thread: +180 stat or +360 Stam

Now we have an infinite scaling trait which gives us 100 of our main stat for 50k infinite power which takes forever to farm? this is ridiculous. Either scale up the trait by a lot or give us the spools again

Remix is for fun.

Retail is not.

Lower bracket & LFG leveling is still feeling slow, seems we’re getting pushed to Heroic world tier

Update after some playing.

  • Normal dungeon bosses auto melee still hit 4-5m hp, i have 623 i lvl gear (mail).

  • Infinite trait is 50k ip now.

  • Traits and other dmg sources not buffed.

  • Not all rare drop ip + other goodies.

  • Many wq quests are missing, i completed each zones quests.

  • still cannot complete shaman campaign, cos i teleported out from the mines in deepholm, reported multiple times.

To sum it up, i still sceptical about endgame progress, cos it feel like a legion+ not a legion remix.

Unfortunately, no matter how good the feedback is I don’t believe they will do anything substantial. Legion remix is going to last longer than Pandaria remix and their goal is to likely stretch the remix out for as long as they possibly can to keep people subscribed.

Hnece the poor exp rates, the timegating of the content, they’ve always done this and they’ve tried to dodge it by acting as if it is for our benefit, they’ve done it with 11.1.5 this expansion as well, timegating old recycled content.

I’d love to be wrong but history has shown me I’m probably not wrong.

Well from what I see here and on reddit people have just given up on the idea of it now. Most are just going to avoid it until a few weeks in, once they fixed it to what we expected/were led to believe it would be…

Just checked feedback on us forums, they have similar feedback what people just posted here sofar.

Additional info: the 50k ip trait gives 159 main stat and 2k stamina. That’s uberlow in my opinion. Please consider adding secondary stats aswell.

Blizzard, just stop being clowns would you, you’re acting like you work in a circus and not at Blizzard HQ. We have told you already, bring back the secondary stat scaling like MOP Remix, this is not hard for you to understand, right now you run the risk of this being your last Remix because players will despise it for not being MOP Remix like, if you continuing ignoring the feedback from every one is a por decision on your part, no one agrees with this por design you have done to Legion Remix.

You can win big time, yet you aim for coal Blizzard, don’t be stupid, be smart and listen to player feedback and just fix this.

Honestly to me the Lemix Feedback situation feels like another “You think you do, but you don’t” Moment.

Every single Feedback I have read about Legion Remix mentions the same problems regarding the secondary & tertiary stats and the missing fun and yet Blizzard insists on not giving us what we want because they think they know better than their community…

Which is just sad, MoP Remix was basically universally loved. Everyone I talked to loved this ridiculous game mode and just had a blast for 2 months straight.
But I guess we have to wait for them to release Lemix, see nobody likes it and then scramble to fix it somehow, even though an insane amount of people gave PTR feedback (compared to regular PTR testing)
