Boomkins in SL season 1 ? to name one even :P? Fire mages Pom Pyro? , The hunt?, im not talking about how bad it is right now but at launch dude :P?
lack of stuff to do. crappy
m+ dungeons
I think Dragonflight looks A LOT like MoP.
Overhauled Talent Trees.
Very back-to-the-roots themed Zones that look very familiar but at the same time modern and new with the beautiful artstyle.
Completly new Race + Class.
If they add something cool like Mage Tower / Challenge Mode’ish features during this Expac cycle and nail all talent trees alongside professions I think this can be one of the best expansions the last couple years.
Alone that there is no borrowed power or system feature like Torghast makes this expansion ten times more attractive. I just want to play, gear up, do dungeons, professions, bgs, m+, raids, without having to do Torghast 6 times to get my most important item.
What I love the most is the talent reworks to both Balance and specially Feral, aswell as DH having a proper tree now and Evoker looks almost main-worthy.
I think its gonna be great.
As far as im aware, the bugs are far less then SLs beta by a absolute mile.
(Prolly cause they didnt waste a year of their development on a borrowed power system that they render useless half way through the patch anyway)
Ion has said he intends to make all difficulties of raiding easier and not aimed at WF, im ironically expecting them to overdo it and season 1 is another emerald nightmare lol.
One shot messes in the arena is very popular. But many dont rly need to care about that, considering most only play the pve side of the game.
Its not gonna be perfect, there will be things we hate, but every game has those, what matters is.
-
is player time respect. No requirement to log in every day, worthwhile rewards from the content done, No mandatory content for system progression.
-
will the dungeons and raids be fun, will players want to do them.
-
will most classes have a specc which is fine. (We all know they will butcher a few, like every expansion)
But they have removed the staggered launches, which means people can break into higher ilevels far faster as m+ wont be capped, to stack, theres no borrowed power system which raids will be balanced around, combined should make the raids easier as theres simply less variables whjch could put u “behind the curve”
I think they will.
The question is, what type of contrnt theyre intending to launch at a faster speed.
Dropping mage towers, mini raids, mega dungeons etc etc is great. But will leave a open world player feeling like theres nothing new for them.
Aswell as dropping pve content continously will make a pvp player feel like theres nothing new for them.
Problem isnt if they manage to drop contrnt faster, as we see from DF we are already seeing the profits of not having these extra borrowed power and systems in thr game release rate wise.
Problem is, WoW has so many catagories, i wonder if theyre going to manage to give every catagory enough.
Thats rly sad. If blizzard cant balance pvp more without 5 borrowed power systems, than they are uterly inapt
I will come a month later, get the story, do all lfr raids and then cancel till new update unless they hook me up with fun stuff or I find a nice relaxed guild which I have trouble finding. Everyone is possessed lately with grind and numbers on their gear.
Never cared about bugs. They’re to be expected out of this type of game, the kind of game that never ends and is continuously updated with new systems and things.
The honeymoon will end because players will run out of stuff to do. The playerbase will always chew through content faster than the devs can produce and the only thing they can do to prolong that is to make it a grind.
18 years and topics like that are still being recycled.
Let me not hear that gamers don’t care about sustainable development
Probably watched their favourite (angry) streamer so though they would spread their gospel.
I’m gonna enjoy DF simply because it is not shadowlands…
Zones are great, questing was great, profession looks interesting, classes feel way better then BFA/shadowlands
So for me DF is a step up
This is why I am not really looking at the beta which they gave me already. I did look at rogue specc bit but just to see. Last time I played Beta I was bored of wow when it came out and didnt enjoy it as much as I wanted and should have done. This was legion. And I regret playing it so much because of that.
What I’ll be enjoying Dragonflight for isn’t the things it’ll add to the game, but the thing it’s going to remove.
With Dragonflight:
- No AP grind
- No borrowed powers
- No being forced to PvE for PvP and vice versa
- Not being forced to play an orc to PvP, thanks to the new trinket set bonuses
All in all, it’ll make it much easier to jump into PvP immediately and play only PvP.
Looking forward to it, and looking forward to not being an orc anymore.
You probably would if they were gamebreaking.
With the complexity of this game and all the things added over the years, every time a new expansion is released I expect for there to be bugs. There’s way too many interconnected factors, something will cause some unexpected result somewhere. If it’s gamebreaking I trust blizz to fix it. There have always been bugs and there always be, no matter how many devs they slave over there. The only way to have a bug free game is to have a very simplistic type of game which this is not.
It’s all down to how the end game content interlocks and plays.
The levelling experience and the first week of gearing tends to be decent, but once players start getting into the actually systems and understanding how things work at end game, that’s when players start to realise how dull or silly things seems.
If the endgame content flows well, everything is not tied to progression and doesn’t have blatantly obvious time gates, i think it will do well, but i’ma still wait a month, watch some streams and see what people think
I will play 2 season and tnen probably quit.
Till next xpack.
I will prolly play till d4 , the launch date will be most likely around march.
I’m betting 10k euro that DF will be one of the worst expansions ever .
covid is over ( yes I’m aware it’s still around ) but it’s mostly over so we should see more content patches sooner.
SL suffered 2 big issues , lack of content and very poor story telling ( yes also probably most player don’t even care about lore but I do)
It’s got nothing to do with balance in my opinion. I gave it a chance on the beta and it’s just plain not fun to play. I guess once I get back my 3 billion addons to make the game readable it’s going to be fun again, but until that time I had a very hard time understanding the game’s flow. Things are simply happening too fast and don’t last long enough. Burst is too high, the number of cooldowns is far too high, instant unavoidable CC is far too high but crucially skillbreaks are also far too high, so it all ends up with so many “gotcha’!” moments that, if you miss them, you get stunlocked.
I got Gladiator in WotLK. Duelist most seasons (on my druid). I can’t play Dragonflight. Have no problem with PvE though.
