Nobody is denying you right to play with your friends, you can make character on any other server but Living Flame and play with them
This has nothing to do with playing with your friends though ? You just proved that you just want to play on that server for the sake of it. Literally nothing stops you from playing with your friends so your argument is invalid. And no, free transfer is not an easy solution, because if you don’t know these are servers which are made to balance factions. If one of the factions becomes bigger, it automatically locks making a character from that faction, and free transfer would interfere with that. So as you said, you can post as much as you want about that, but it is simply not happening, and its not Blizzard’s fault that you decided to play on that server. Come up with a better argument, because “i can’t play with my friends” is not a valid one.
I can’t be bothered to keep replying to these Blizzard fanboys anymore. Bunch of window lickers who think Blizzard can do no wrong.
Blizzard has always done free transfer when trying to control overpopulation in the past, to lock a server is moronic.
If it is because of the botting situation, then it is even more moronic. Because Blizzard are so tight they cannot be bothered to hire and train a team to combat the botting situation.

You most certainly can on any of the open servers. Only one server is locked, the rest are open for character creation, so I don’t really see what’s keeping you from playing with your friends.
I will break it down for you.
I ran a guild on Hardcore and had over 100+ members, we did a vote to play on Living Flame before servers were live.
The majority of the guild played on launch, got their toon names and started grinding. However, about 25% were not able to play on launch. Most of us a older players and have other priorities.
We leveled up and got the raid organised for the coming week. Firstly, the alliance was locked and then later the server was locked. We assumed this was only a short-term decision from Blizzard and once the hype of SoD calms down, the server would resume.
So, we have all been gearing up and made alts, geared them all up with little to no word from Blizzard about the server situation.
Now weeks later, it is still locked and the guild is reluctant to restart all over again and all the alts. However, if Blizzard offered Free Transfers from Living Flame to a low-populated server (something Blizzard does do a LOT in retail, etc.), I would strongly consider taking the offer and transfer all my toons and guildies over.
This would help with the high population issue on Living Flame and also we can be reunited with our guildies and friends.
If I remember correctly Blizzard locked the server on day 2 or 3, so it’s not like you could have spent that much time on your characters by then. The solution to the problem was in your hands the whole time, but you chose to do nothing and wait for someone else to fix it for you.

Also i’d like to add : How did you make a pool and decide in which server to play on if nobody knew the server names before they were live ?
And more, I’m really sorry I don’t wanna sound rude but I personally cannot become “friend” with more than 100 people and play with all of them for the small period of when hardcore was popular. Also as you said “majority” of your guild already made characters and are already playing on Living Flame, I highly doubt all of these “100+” players would free transfer to a small server only to play with the rest (lets say 10 players that couldn’t make characters there). Even the raids atm are 10 man only, you cannot possibly play with all the 100+ players every week unless you have couple of alts.
And I’m the last person who thinks Blizzard can do no wrong, I’ve been criticizing them for long time for different things they did. But locking the server now is a good decision they made in my opinion. If you’re such good friends with the people not being able to play on the server you will go to their server and make an alt there and play with them while you’re waiting for Living Flame to get unlocked

Because NA names dropped prior launch, they were community chosen and we knew theyd be the same names for EU… u seem to forget we launch AFTER NA.
Names were announced to community chosen on 7th november by the Forbes article on it

Litterally living flame and lone wolf discords went up for EU when NA names were revealed.
What you mean is, you didnt know.
You can litterally verify this but going to the stitches discord, and looking up to when the invites went out on the general discussion on the discord.

Nah. I mean nobody new what server names in eu will be. But for most guilds it was either 2nd pvp server or 1st pve server.
First pvp server is always crowded with big streamers and their elite audience with negative iq, moma’s pvpers.
Honorable mention also are rmters, bots, rusians, gold farmers, hackers and similar scum of the Earth crowding such places

That is a stupid reply. Nobody could predict or know Blizzard was going to lock a server and in my 17 years of playing. The fault squarely falls on Blizzard for not communicating with the community, slow action to botters flooding the server, not offering Free transfers off, not fob off the community and locked it for weeks.
This is on Blizzards head.

You should realise one thing: Blizzard does not care about the feelings of the players. Only the money is important.
I haven’t been in the game for days because I’ve lost the fun of BGs. Random BGs are what I originally enjoyed the most. That’s exactly what you can forget right now.
The problem with the server population can also be solved better. But it’s not being done.
