M+ Dungeon Tuning Incoming

MD is dispelling the healer dispell. So i can see that being troublesome. Allthough i do not have the overview of problems it generate on holy and disc. And obviously blizz can change the cooldown on holy and disc back to 40 sec while keeping it on 2 min on Spriest.

It is like taking a ret paladin who has Lay on Hands on like a 1 minute cooldown while mine on holy is 7 minutes… Because ret has a talent in the general paladin talent tree that isn’t there anymore when you respec to holy.

Not being able to generate holy power by having to move out of melee. And melee also get hit by puddles.
Imagine being a monk needing to do damage to heal there, using faeline stomp and crane.

Does not fix the issue. Why would you take a non Holy / Dics priest on bursting weeks then?

If there are no ranged available. So the dungeon favours variety more than specificity. Which is good IMO.

I don’t know. I play with communities/pugs and take just whatever.

Ah you mean the rocks that get throwed. I am the healer. This is a damage source that need to be healed. It does not matter on who it is. This amount does not change depending on the target.

I like your attitude. Keep at it.

Unfortanely im very stubborn on my opinion: Either nobody should cheese any affix/core mechanic, or all of us can. Not just 1 or a handfull of classes.

And that is usually Affixes, and bosses. And certain trash abilities that hit really hard / have some healer check component to it.

The rest (99% of the dungeon), I embrace all the fluff and character variety this game can give.

+21 atal Yazma hit me 440k with this spell and leave nasty debuff. Sometimes just before spirits. Which hit for 90% of hp. With 20% versa. And i have to avoid spiders. Fun indeed.

I guess this didn’t really age well. Most of the people crying out loud :“Atal will be unfinishable”. Meanwhile me being average player did it 21 with 2 chests, and far away from being maxed out in gear. Still 19 ilvls to go. But this happens when people don’t even try to use their brains before actually talking. We are in second week, and most of the players are between 460 and 470. So…still like half the gear that can be obtained this season, and they are crying that a 20 is too hard. Well…if you need max gear for a 20 to not be hard…it’s not the game’s problem, is the player’s problem. And blizzard should stop address the non issues, and focus on delivering actual content. Dungeons are fine (The hardest dungeons were the one on the right difficulty, but well, entitled players won again. They want to do max rewards, in low gear, with no effort or skill involved. Entitled much? Hell yea)

You’re aware they’re gonna nerf the dungeons even more, yes? I foresee archamage sol’s cinderbolt storm getting hit soon enough.

No.

Yea, cause they enjoy listening to cry babies. We have a healer in guild, who is mostly average. He healed that boss with no issues in 20. We got wrecked at the last boss from RNG, but still, third boss is doable as it is now.
Tanks can keep themselves there. Every healer has 10 seconds to prepare for it, it’s not like it’s random what’s next, it’s a script.

But look more, above are people crying out loud for the change at last boss in AD, not even knowing what the hell that spell was doing.

And yes, I am. Arcane mage is not meta, last time I checked. Is it good? Yes , especially in tyra weeks. Is it the most tanky spec? No. I still survived there. Do I do stupid mistakes? Ofc I am doing. That is what an average player should be. Not knowing about personal defenses, having 50k dps in ST and so on, that shouldn’t be considered average player, but pure bad player.

The average healer are nowhere close to doing 20s, lol.

Have you played this season? It’s a joke in matters of difficulty. They raised the gear gap by 39, meanwhile everything is way easier than it was when the gap was 26.
Also we somehow started to use “average player” instead of “bad player” just to be politically correct. I’m not the guy who has to be politically correct. I just state facts.

For the top end that have been playing in the top for years, yes.

Not for the average player.

I really don’t understand why people like you call it “average” to be in the top 1%. If you’ve done all dungeons on a 20 as a healer right now, you’re a top 1% healer, that’s nowhere close to average.

I’m placed as 1750 of all mages…so not really in the top. And the fact that this season is way easier at any level, again is something that is right for everybody. If a 20 now is easier than a 20 last season, it automatically means that a 10 or a 12 is easier than before.
Also, I don’t play healer by default. I don’t really liked in any game, so it’s nothing related to healers have too much to do now. It’s just I played tank or ranged dps in any games that I have played. Because I enjoy having alts, in 10.1 I leveled all the classes except paladin to 70, and geared most of them over 435, only the priest being played as healer, and got to 441. Today my guild asked me to come to heal a 13, which then turned to a 15. In 441 gear I managed to heal it just fine. As a non main healer, with less gear than is indicated I did that.

As I said, I know why I’m calling myself average. Because I am average. So let’s stop normalize calling bad players average just to not make them feel bad about themselves.

That’s like top 2%.

You’re not really helping yourself here.

Ok. What about the logs in raid for hc, for my ilvl, not in general, to be fair:
Gnarlroot - 23
Igira - 42
Volcoross - 40
Council - 47
Larodar - 27
Nymue - 50

Considering average is around 50…because well, that is average…this actually puts me under average in terms of people that actually play the game.
If we are talking about the normal raid, which is designed for average players, according to the definition of average, not to what people like to call average in wow, my best perf. average is 51. Which says that I am 1% over the average.

What does that have to do with m+ rankings?

Not done that many keys this season, but I’ve done my fair share, would say this is the easiest of the seasons so far… things need tuning in places though for sure. Odd things hit really hard, others noodles

I was hoping for rework of that corridor toward last boss in Throne of the Tides.
