The thing with the trauma it is an good plot device if done well, i wouldnt remove it at all.
Id just write it different way than they have done it there is plenty other mediums that have done it right and not going too soft with it
The authors clearly think that to make a cool night elf character they need to turn him into Illidan re-skin, the writing of Kaldorei just dropped to such a low level,
no one knows. that’s another problem with Nige elf lore. Tyrande’s transformation into a night warrior gave her dark eyes and super new powers in the form of… yeah. But to be specific, I think the ritual only buffed her star magic, nothing more. 
I’m also not a fan of watching trauma on screen, but it shows how much Tyrande is constanly forgotten. Jaina had the entire BFA storyline, Sylvanas had visits to Uther her personal psychologist and THE entire book. Anduin’s problems are a huge part of TWW. What did Tyrande get? Oh? Has she seen her lands invaded for years, the capital burned and the souls of defenseless civilians tortured in hell? How could she be mad at that? Elune calm her down,

I still don’t understand why they banned her from fighting Zo’val. Helping stop someone who’s responsible for all the suffering she experienced would be best solution, even a short Stay and Listen after the fight in which she prayed for the fallen souls, telling them that justice had been done, would save her storyline. But no, when Thrall Jaina and Sylvanas fought for the future of the universe Tyrande was just chilling in Ardenwelad

But being serious, they didn’t just sit in the corener. Tyrande was constantly killing Jailer’s forces in the Maw when Baine helped defend Oribos and was in Zereth mortis they just did’t show that well. Both characters were mostly ignored for no particular reason, but let’s not pretend that what they got was good. ( Baine - For Shadowlands… Elune -Tyrande must choose…

However, the difference between Tyrande and Baine was that Blizzard hyped Tyrande’s new power since BFA, mostly in Shadowlnds, and at the end did nothing with it.
