You use those examples but in truth they got like 1 or 2 options and in canon they aren’t actually them. Its just RP fluff.
When people are saying that there is a new process to make void elves and it no longer corrupts them and turns makes them look void enfused… thats a lore change to say that the void elves I love are a first gen mistake and won’t happen again. That void elves going forwards look like a normal elf with dark hair.
But wait, you want blond so they just look like normal elves.
What were blue skinned tentacled elves in lore will in lore going forwards not look like that.
Thats stripping away the void and putting it into the lore.
Thats not something that can be compared to one singular skin to look like a sand troll.

You’re making an issue of something that isn’t there.
We, the players, can’t ‘change lore’. That’s not how it works.
We only got some more customization options; nothing changed lore wise.
And you can still play the same void infused elf you want.

I made a thread myself. And there are Blood elf fans who made similar threads as well. Hopefully Blizzard does it. I would love Dark Ranger skin for my Blood elf along with Red eyes. Especially in a expansion based on Sylvanas
Tbf from what I’ve gathered she doesn’t do a great deal in the base expansion.
And in wod garrosh sorta did nothing before he died. And we didn’t even get to do it.
She might not end up being all that important 
not only xpac based on Sylvanas there also comeing a movie of Lich king and Sylvanas
Also Dark Ranger Velonara recently said that she felt “lost” after Sylvanas left.
She considers the Blood elves and the Forsaken as her people, so she along with a few other dark Rangers stayed loyal to the Horde
Well the Horde is Nothing they jusy Tin solders compered to the powers in this galentic war going on … The Light has striken a bargen with the enemys of the old and Void and death cant team up so there is like 3 teams fighting ea other … Sylvanas knowed this all along she tryed to warn us but we did not lisen …

The void whispered to Alleria that Sylvanas would betray everyone. The Void asked Alleria to kill Sylvanas, but Alleria refused thinking its just one of the Voids tricks. The void would be later correct.
