Not really a fair comparison, these pieces get replaced within this season, and were added to reputation vendors in the actual game years ago, speeding it up just helps to fix the problems now for everyone.
T5 get replaced by T6.
The blue honor gear is meant to actually let you get into pvp, and gets replaced within this season, tier 5 is meant to be your premier gear which get replaced months and months later in subsequent raid tiers, they are not comparable situations.
Dungeon gear is replaced by T4.
Hold up! If Horde can farm PvP Blue sets fast and can skip most of BG queues grind, why do I have to keep playing Alliance with inferior racials on arena and being ganked 2,5v1 in ecery scenario? I haven’t used my boost yet, since I have lvl 70 human mage, lvl 67 NE druid, lvl 60 human paladin and human warlock, warrior and rogue between lvl 30-60. But if Blizz would introduce more QoL to the Horde without making reason to roll for Alliance or even create Merc mode I would not waste my time on dying faction because it will end like on Retail.
This is so wrong and uneducated to say, there are great Alliance racials that are even meta right now.
Check the Drustvar website for TBC Arena Leaderboards and see what people are playing ![]()
Ofcourse it is. Some people just prefer to victimize instead of learning to play against those racials…
They thing getting ganked and not being able to do anything is more defining then hours of practice until you learn what to actually do.
He isn’t talking about Gladiator gear but about entry level gear, plenty of that for sale from rep vendors, some pieces even better than entry.
While it is a decent solution for getting ready to play arena… It doesn’t quite solve the issue. I enjoy playing bgs, I want to be able to log on and play a few without waiting 1 hour in queue. So it makes it easier for alts to enter arena, but it doesn’t really solve the real issue imo.
But i’d still be ok with implementing this, as long as we don’t stop there.
I agree with what you said, comes across as the way to fix queue times is to give people less reasons to do BGs
So what do you do then?
Play the game?
The topic was about the blue-set and as I recall, you can already buy PvE blues with x-reputation level.
This solution wouldnt remove the long queue times our fellow Hordes are having, but it would cut the honor needed for full set by almost half, which in turn would lower the ceiling for people to farm the missing honorset and/or step into arena.
Only ones getting the short stick with this solution, would be people who already farmed 5/5 mainset.
That blue gear wont help you in raids. And dungeon gear > raids. As BG gear > Arena.
I’m not convinced merc mode wouldn’t be a fix, but I’d be fine with this as a solution.
A problem I see with this is that it doesn’t help players who just like to play bgs for the fun of it, but are softbanned from it if they don’t have 2+ hours free time at any given time for a single arathi basin.
Since I don’t number among these fellas, I’d happily accept this solution, especially since it was already in the game back in the day (although I’m not sure if it was in druing the T4 era).
