Method last stand?

How did this thread derail from the discussion about Methods fate to the discussion about the law stuff?

Josh may be innocent until proven guilty, but Method is crumbling to dust all the same as we speak, their founder Sco even taking a timeout to see what he’ll do next and apologizing to everyone for failing them.

So yeah, either Method is going to have to rebuild from the scratch, or just be abolished and a new guild/organization built on its ashes.

I have read the entire thread and all the comments and i am amazed how naive people are. I can’t believe that in 2020 we believe myths and legends and we don’t try to find the truth with facts and proofs.

I have read all the testimonies given by these so-called victims and there are a lot of red flags:

  1. All of them where made in the same day. What’s the probability that 5 different genuine ( or not ???) victims decided to share their past dramas (events that happened more than one year ago or more), suddenly decide to reveal the truth in the same day? Why not even one of them didn’t came forward earlier or immediately after these so-called abuses? Why now?
  2. Did you read their statements? Those are not statements made by 14-16 years old girls! Those are statements so well done that you might have the impression that a lawyer or someone very high educated in this types of topics helped them. “I was depressed and had anxiety before i even met him” … what the… is that? How can you have anxiety and depression at 14 years old? Really? I didn’t had depression and anxiety when i lost my family, house and all my money and took me 10 years to rebuild everything, but she, at 14 years old, with 0 issues and responsibilities has. Cut the crap.
  3. We don’t have no confirmation that all those screenshots are real! Did anyone investigated the veracity of those screenshots? How we know they are not edited? How we know that the supposed Josh is actually the best friend of one of the victims login in with a account and avatar identical with his and saying those things to frame him? How we know that those messages came really from his computer/phone? Did anyone verified the IP adresses/phone numbers/discord and other accounts that are really his accounts (josh’s) ? Did Blizzard came to confirm that those in-game screenshots are really made from Josh’s account? I can create now a char with the name Joshmage and say everything i want. That means i am really Josh? Do we have some real physical and verified proofs or only some questionable screenshots that maybe are fake?
  4. **The stories??? ** The stories given by these victims are movie-like stories: “he was a celebrity, i went to make a duet stream with him and he raped me, but i didn’t left his house after, no, i stayed until next day to do another stream and i reported the event to friends and police after a week, because i waited for all proofs (DNA, hair, etc) to be gone and after do it” . Are you serious? Only a woke can believe such a story.

In my opinion, i think the truth is somewhere in the middle: the guy (Josh) had/has maybe a odd behaviour, a strange attraction towards teenager girls and he even did some awkward “attempts” via messages and calls , but i don’t believe he also did the actions. Especially the wanking to the camera and rape action, i am 100% that those are not true. A person with his celebrity would not wank in front of the camera knowing that there is the risk to be recorded and exposed after. I don’t think he was so stupid. And beside that, if he really did it, i don’t believe that that girl was so naive to just turn around and wait for him a few minutes to finish (what she did during that time? yawned? ) and not record it (to use the video later to blackmail him, at least that is what i would do). There are too many unanswered questions regarding him, too many shady proofs that in the end prove nothing and nothing real. We can all think that maybe all of this could be a elaborated conspiracy to destroy him and the guild, so that others take their place. We don’t know nothing.

Regarding Swifty, i think Blizzard took another wrong decision. And this time it will cost them, because if it will be proven he is not guilty (and i have 99% feeling that he is not guilty), their image will be damaged for very long term. Blizzard is bleeding subscribers and instead to stay neutral and wait for real proofs from competent organisations like police (not twitter statements), they take rush actions to satisfy the wokes without thinking what will happen if they where wrong. And i have a feeling that Swifty story will be proven soon that he is innocent and i am curious what will Blizzard do? Apologise and put back the NPC? Or play dumb and pretend that it didn’t happened and leave it like that (removed NPC)? I don’t know who is taking these PR decisions for Blizzard (remove Swifty NPC, praise BLM, ban HK protesters, etc), but maybe they should fire him and find someone more competent. These mistakes attract even more dislike and hate towards them and now is not a good time to loose players and money, just to satisfy some woke crazy people on internet.

Regarding Method organisation and guild, they did nothing wrong. To accuse and hold them accountable for the actions of a member is ludicrous. And when i saw that people where holding Darria accountable and blaming her that they ignored Josh’s actions, i was in a huge disbelief how people like that still exist in 2020. Her reply : “go to the police and if they prove he is guilty, we take actions” , was the best reply that could be given. You can’t destroy someone else life just because some random teenagers whine on internet about a member of Method. Until proven guilty, he is innocent. None of these girls didn’t brought any proper evidence, except some shady screenshots and a statement on twitter. And imagine that Josh was one of their top healers in guild and world. So such a valuable player (from a gaming perspective) would be a great loss and hard to replace. So obviously, that reply was the expected one. What i don’t understand in this story is why the guild/organisation needed to disband and everyone (sponsors and etc) to abandon them? They knew some rumours. Nothing factual and proven. So why are they blamed for his supposed actions?

I saw (i heard actually, because he was playing WoW) Narco and Fleks stream. I never imagined that my gender can be embarrassed in such a way as they did. Both of them crying and whining, Fleks saying that he will kill himself, the others trying to calm him down and give him emotional support…bla bla…pure drama. Really? Kill yourself because the guild was disbanded and your trust betrayed? Get over it… Others loose their families in wars, their house bombarded and still don’t whine and cry like they did for a game. Omg…

Regarding some comments made in this thread: omg people…what’s wrong with you? You comment without even knowing the facts. You already judged them guilty (Swifty and Josh) without any real proof. Now if someone makes a twitter statement about someone else, we take it as a truth and we don’t investigate? And btw, who do you think you are? Police?
It’s amazing what level of wokeness we reached today. I hope this is not the path we go in the future…

and good heals.

Did you miss the movement? This is basically #metoo but for twitch.

Why do you think you can’t?

As someone that actually watched Josh, it doesn’t surprise me one bit after that stream with poopernoodle. He pulled a knife on her, on stream and did various shady stuff before that too.

I told my friend “That guy is gonna end up hurting someone some day” and oh boy was I right.

Just a question, based on hunch (your nickname) : are you a girl?

No. I’m a guy.

Is that stream still available somewhere? Can i get a link or something?

I don’t know. He got permabanned from twitch after the stream with her, most likely due to what he did.

That’s a rather baseless description of those series of books, and what you subscribe to them is definitely not the lure or attraction of them, and you’re kind of putting a label on the women who have read these books – that’s very uncalled for.

And yes, I have read them.

I think problem in this debate is how people define this term.

I think everybody agrees with it, but differs on were it applies.

To give an example.

Someone giving proof that X did something wrong, makes X proven guilty in some peoples eyes, for example the texts and poopernoodle’s statement alongside streams that match this makes a lot of people deem him guilty.

Others believe that even if there is proof, the court has to approve of it and sentence the accused of being guilty before people deem them guilty.

I think in reality there’s a gray line here were people feel in different degrees between these two examples.

For all we know, these could all be made up texts and lies to frame a rather socially awkward, weak and innocent individual, which is why some people think we need to wait until courts give a final verdict.

Others feel that it’s so easy to weasel out of the courts and since its a fact that a lot of mistakes happen and innocent people get accused guilty while guilty ones roam free, which happens quite enough to let people question these systems.

All in all, it’s a messed up situation, it’s right to have an opinion on it and to differ from others in your opinion, but in reality I also think the right thing to do is not do something rash and people would regret later.

Many times an innocent person has been trashed even when it looked like they’re really guilty and it was proven they were not and that they are actually innocent.

Be it the case were some vigilantes killed a supposed " raper " , Johnny depp, or the famous man released after 30+ years of prison due to false rape accusation, or if somehow it turns out that swifty was actually innocent but blizzard already ruined his stuff, or that one anime va that had his job ruined but wasn’t proven guilty and plenty of other cases.

Lmao that is how it is. If they don’t like the label too bad. Pathetic how week certain individuals are to such remarks.

:baby:

Lmao, my post was censored linking to a person. Funny how we talk about Method Josh in the whole thread and multiple other threads and no problem  . Oh but wait this is a woman. Community rules and hypocrisy is just valid when you are on the right side of the discourse.

My point was more that your label is categorically wrong, and indicate that you haven’t read the books. Read them first if you’re going to label them. Right now you’re not informed on the matter you’re speaking about.

No, the forum automatically buries a post if it contains the r-word.

People read Agatha Cristie; do they want they or their friends to be murdered?

No but they sure do enjoy murder stories. Which is 90% of the current stories is about.

Do you know any women?

And watching things like CSI and Dexter, is clearly just for those of us trying to cover up crimes

Does watching romance anime make me a 2d love fool?

Or maybe a ninja!?

Some of you sure do enjoy your own narrative. Incapable of reading an sentence.

It went pretty fast from
“Do enjoy reading/thinking about x” to
“They enjoy doing x”.

But whatever, I do see what you are doing. It is exactly the same reason why public accusations is deranged, we sure do love filling in the blanks .

I don’t remember them requiring special needs.

You are the one labelling people (well women in particular) for reading books from the best sellers list. It says more about you than it does us poking fun at your silly comment. We merely tried to point out how daft your labelling was.
