For those who likes only collecting, Bliz should give option to one click capture with NO ABILITIES. For those who likes battle aspect of pets, Blizzard still should keep the battle option for ALL OF THE PETS coming in Midnight, and those who catch them through battling should earn the pets WITH ABILITIES. That is how it should work. Because some ppl just like to increase the number in their collection, while some other enjoy to collect first but then battle afterwards. Personally i wouldn’t be into pet content if they didn’t have any abilities. This is an evergreen feature, people have been playing this content with abilities, you just shouldn’t take that battling part of it from people as it is the ONLY FUNCTIONALITY they have in World of Warcraft. I do not want a code piece to follow me everywhere. Their stats, capability to level up and learn abilities are like their characteristics. These are what makes them special for most pet battlers including me!
So my suggestion to Blizzard in short:
For collectors who just likes to collect and no battle, give option to one click capture to those without pet abilities, so only cosmetic.
For those who enjoy battling them, give them the option to battle and capture as it has always been, and those pets will have abilities, not cosmetics.
This is the best solution i can think of to make everyone happy. Also please bring some news to the pet battles every few patches or so, at least update it, and provide like 1 pet dungeon an expansion which is like 1 dungeon every 2 years. I think this isn’t much to ask as pets have their spot in the shop. Thanks.
