If one is unable to decern the difference between objective fact and subjective opinion, without the inclusion of “imho”, I’d argue that’s an issue that boils down to reading comprehension moreso than etiquette requirement…
Obviously people into flip market or transmog or anything like that need it. There are people that like it because its rare which is not bad.
Personally i prefer to use mailbox and jeeves, i always have enough consumables of everything in my bags, and stacks in mailbox since it can stay for 30 days. I never run out of consumables so i don’t need to mount in a raid or dungeon, however i have guildies not so organized that they do actually need consumables sometimes midraid. Also i can use mailbox in places you cant mount so i just buy them in advance, this raid now you cant mount as an example.
It’s not even a gold issue, i spent more gold to stupid stuff and i am multi goldcapped. I just find it better when a new expansion hit to run a second account camp ah than try to play ah while playing my main. If i would buy would be for rarity but not utility.
so in other words, trolls come into this topic to deny value of this mount and trying to prove that you do not need it.
This mount provides unmatched convenience with AH option, anywhere anytime. For this reason it was removed because it is THAT good.
The biggest problem with the scarcity of this mount on BMAH is the people who sell it in the WoW market Discord, usually for 1500 Euro (or more to get upper on their list) + 10M (or more) gold to make it looks like there was no RMT (Real money transactions) involved.
That makes it unfair for players who don’t want to break TOS, and have to compete with these TOS breakers to get it.
The only way to make this market disappear is to make the Brutosaur very common on every realm BMAH, instead of putting it once in a while on only one random realm that only the RMT sellers have the workforce to find in time by working a few people together.
A much better solution is moving it back to the vendor, which provides reasonable compensation for the 2.5 years it didn’t appear, making players invest tons of gold in boxes and wait every night for nothing.
Well, that is as long as some Blizzard employee isn’t selling it and push inside Blizzard to make the situation stay so they can keep selling it.
By the way, I can guess some trolls come here to satisfy their psychological issues. But I won’t be surprised if some of them are RMT selling the mount and come here to put pressure so it would stay scarce for their good.
Pretty much.
Thanks for the good news , did you have any screenshot or any links or sources that confirm that.
Wowhead got proof with picture so i am sure it’s back
It’s nice to see that this subject has managed to generate so much interest. Thanks to everyone for keeping the topic afloat.
Cheers.
Interesting, they added it back? I’m trying to find the source on this, but recently Wowhead has just been so flooded with posts about all Blizzard games that it’s really discouraging to try and go through them all.
I agree with you, however. Whether one truly needs the mount or not, given the indisputable fact that it closely resembles the in-built functionality of what most MMOs provide to their players at the click of a button, for free - that being an auction house that is accessible from any point and location - suggests that the boost to playability and overall quality of life is significant, and irreplaceably so.
You raise a very valid point about people essentially burning their gold on an item that they reasonably believed existed in the game. BMAH lottery boxes are regular experiences of disappointment even without the added confusion of not knowing if they actually do contain the Brutosaur.
The lack of communication regarding this is (or was) such an intransparent business practice that it can and should be considered shameful, as many have pointed out.
Something that I now have trouble visualizing is how they’ll address the unauthorized sale of BMAH items once the announced change goes live that allows everyone to trade gold across all realms from any character. It really seems as if that’s granting gold sellers and third party BMAH item vendors additional leeway.
Transactions will be simplified and easier to see through due to that, because realm changes to get the gold traded to the buyer are no longer going to be a necessity. It’s rather like introducing yet another problem.
So basically the whales and goblins in WoW, who keep telling everyone to stop being poor and lazy, keep throwing a fierce tantrum at Blizzard so things like T3 sets and Brutomount won’t ever be made available for less than millions of gold just so they can continue their RMT scheme on their private Discord groups to get even richer. Collectively holding the entire market hostage.
Thats the whole point of being goblin: corner markets and continue being filthy rich. And thats also how we are getting fun out of this game, just not being lazy and doing something others wont.
It’s not removed u can get it from the BMAH.
i actually spend 30 million trying to get this mount from unclaimed black market containers. ( since blizzard intentionally removed it from BMHA and these boxes)
Now it is appearing in AH before they stealth nerf it again.
Even if this mount would appear every day in BMAH it would take roughly 3 thousand years for everyone who want it to get it. Can you imagine? 3 freaking thousand years. Considering active players are 1 million.
This mount should and must be brought back to trading post or vendor for 5 million.
It’s so good to see you here, the thread owner That was an awesome opening message.
About the RMT, all Blizz has to do is to make the Brutosaur much more common, and there won’t be any point anymore for RMT.
People will still sell it for gold, and that’s fine; it’s the good guys who provide a service. But its value will decrease and won’t be enough for RMT.
I think Blizzard should really consider it and start right now to make it very common.
Unless making it back into vendor again, which is the best compensation for all players, of course.
Or they should just remove the AH npc from the mount altogether.
If they do that, they can also remove achievements and gear from raids because people sell these too, and maybe just remove anything that people like so that no one will have anything nice anymore, which will probably make forum trolls very happy at last.
I hope you took in consideration the fact that BMAH isnt region-wide, every realm has its own lots on it.
Nah, just the AH vendor will do.
If mount goes back at vendor it should be for gold cap because blizzard made people rush and buy it based on the fact its getting removed.
There is a number of rich players or goblins that want it and don’t have it but that doesn’t mean 50% of playerbase that want it can actually afford it.
Only way to estimate its value is based on the exchange ratio of tokens. With an exchange between 230k-400k gold cap is around €500-870. I really believe the number of players willing to spend that money is low. Obviously when they are gathered in a forum or reddit thread look more than they are but in reality vast majority of players won’t pay that amount.
personally i want to see all the so called unobtainable things back in the game so that people can actually retrieve them by playing the game?
i’ve never understood why these things have had to disappear and players never be able to obtain these items again.
it serves no good purpose save the fact that it’s mainly for status posing.
in my honest opinion if Blizzard were actually to value equality in their games then they’d make these things available to everyone, instead of catering to very specific minority groups.
this should go for every item in this game.
As a proud Longboi owner whos not a goblin but a normal player, I totally get the reasoning that people want this mount back.
Its such a novelty item and when it was announced that it would be removed from the vendor (with ample time left to actually make a plan to get it) and yes even for average players! I thought to myself its way out of reach. But because its a friggin Dinosaur with ah npc, I started the longest wow grind of my life, spanning over 6 months! , to actually get this mount. One word sums up the ordeal: PAINFUL.
But boy, when I managed to scrape that gold together, … it was so worth it.
Here’s the thing as countless others have said. You cant just bring it back again after removal, it takes away accomplishment for people like myself that had to work for it. Btw I never recovered financially in wow lol… still sitting with no more than 200k accross my 40+ chars haha even after these many expansions.
BUT… I wont mind if it were to comeback on the following conditions (these are personal ofc.) But it would make it fair to me and easier to swallow after the time investment.
If longboi comes back to the vendor - I want previous unobtainable things to comeback, specifically…
1 - MOP CM sets.
2 - WOD CM weaps.
3 - Original Mage tower skins, not the replacements.
4 - All expansions AOTC mounts.
5 - That black battle tank (damn, it looks sweet)
Now, i dont expect them to be free ofcourse. Tie them relevant challanges. Which relevant challanges? Not my job, we pay blizzard for this, make a plan. If i had to name something, tie CM sets to mplus on a season rotational basis. Kind of like diablo 3 seasons rotating those stupid xmogs.
1 season, the sets, 1 season the weaps ect.
Or… a new endgame mode that is challenging, dynamic, has potential for solo/groups, where these sorts of things can keep being added with their own seasons where the stuff rotates aswell.
